West. This all-ages and fami ly-friendly musical celebration of peace features two inspiring choral pieces: Ralph Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem and Song of Wisdom from Old Turtle from the children's book by Douglas Wood with music by Joseph M. Martin. WHEN: Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at 7:30 PM Sunday, May 6th, 2012 at 2:00 PM WHERE: Town Hall Seattle 1119 8th Avenue Seattle, WA 98101 Tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the door. Additional information available at  http://seattlepeacechorus.org  Ralph Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem is a setting of beautiful anti-war poems inspired by Walt Whitman's service as a nurse in the Ci vil War with ancient calls for Peace on Earth. It will feature baritone Steve Tachell and soprano Linda Strandberg with professional orchestra. Song of Wisdom from Old Turtle is from the children's book by Douglas Wood with music by Joseph M. Martin. It will feature special guest Spirit of the Sound Choir directed by Eric O'del. In addition to the musical offerings, The Seattle Peace Chorus will provide a pre-show marketplace where concertgoers can gather information from community partners and learn how to actively spread the message of peace and social justice.

For nearly 30 years the Seattle Peace Chorus has been celebrating community and cultivating

peace through song. Their choral repertoire reflects the multi-cultural and multi-national focus,

ranging from spirituals and gospel to Mozart and Beethoven, from South African freedom songs

to the original works of director Frederick N. West.
