The new medin-cno

Medin-cno is used as stationary nCPAP driver for the nCPAP therapy of

neonates and premature infants treated in combination with the nCPAP

generator Medijet© in intensive care units.

Medin-cno may only be used in combination with simultaneous and con-

stant hemodynamic monitoring of the patient, only by trained medical

personnel and only during clinical use.

perfect combination in use

with medin cno driver

Medin-cno offers a basic nCPAP mode for neonates and premature infants. In

this mode the device creates in combination with the nCPAP generator Medijet©

a constant positive airway pressure (CPAP). The user adjusts therefore the

CPAP pressure and the necessary oxygen concentration. Various alarms help

to monitor the patient and the adjusted parameters. If necessary the user can

activate a push (= a higher CPAP level for a short time) manually.

This mode combines the basic CPAP with apnea detection. The normal CPAP

is identical to the CPAP mode. But if apnea is detected medin-cno triggers

automatically a push. Additionally the user can manually activate this push.

Medin-cno offers in this mode a CPAP based on two different pressure levels.

The length of time of both pressure levels is adjustable by the user as well as

the trigger for the change.

In the oscillation mode medin-cno creates a high-frequency oscillation modu-

lated to a basic CPAP. The basic CPAP level, the oxygen concentration, the

frequency and the amplitude are chosen according to the patient’s needs by

the users.
