  • BH140STATIONARY MOUNTED, HIGH TEMPERATURE, EDGE WELDED METAL BELLOWS SEAL

The BH 140 seal is specifically designed for the most demanding of High and Low temperature services as well as being suitable for high speed application in a wide range of media. The stationary configuration, in which the flexible bellows element is fixed into the equipment casing, eliminates damaging swashing motion due to casing distortion or shaft deflection. It also insulates the flexible element from direct shaft vibration and promotes more positive sealing while significantly extending seal life. The core of the seal is an edge welded bellows unit with a design proven over more than 20 years experience in many tens of thousands of applications to give many years of trouble free service. The bellows is precision manufactured in Inconel 718 material and is subject to the very highest levels of quality control to ensure consistent and reliable operating performance. The pressure capability of the standard BH 140 can be increased through the use of a double ply (laminated bellows plates) version . This design allows a low spring rate, maintaining face loads close to initial design values as face wear occurs or shaft expansion reduces operating lengths.

  • EAGLE Mechanical Seals

The YE 400 seal is specifically designed for the most demanding of High and Low temperature services as well as being suitable for high speed application in a wide range of media. The stationary configuration, in which the flexible bellows element is fixed into the equipment casing, eliminates damaging "swashing" motion due to casing distortion or shaft deflection. It also insulates the flexible element from direct shaft vibration and promotes more positive sealing while significantly extending seal life .The core of the seal is an edge welded bellows unit with a design proven over more than 20 years experience in many tens of thousands of applications to give many years of trouble free service. The bellows is precision manufactured in Inconel 718 material and is subject to the very highest levels of quality control to ensure consistent and reliable operating performance. The pressure capability of the standard YE400 can be increased through the use of a double ply (laminated bellows plates) version. This design allows a low spring rate, providing face loads close to initial design values, as face wear occurs or shaft expansion reduces operating lengths.

  • CARTRIDGE MOUNTED DOUBLE GAS SEAL

    EAGLE Mechanical Seals

The NF992 is a pump seal development of the highly successful, and technically advanced, NF900 dry gas seal installed in many hundreds of turbo compressor and blower applications.Process and chemical pumps in hazardous application conventionally use liquid lubricated, double or tandem seal arrangements to prevent liquid leakage or hazardous emissions. These seal configurations are subject to rapid failure and leakage to atmosphere when liquid pressure, or circulation, is lost. Contamination of the sealant liquid over time is also a frequent problem. The NF992 is a complete answer to these failure modes and in addition only requires a relatively simple buffer gas injection system instead of large and complex liquid circulation systems.

Specific Features of NF992 Zero leakage to atmosphere, ideal for hazardous media. Non-contacting design reduces power consumption to a small fraction of that used by liquid seals. The internal, or product side, seal contains the media at the seal outside diameter. No centrifugal effects to drive contaminants across the seal faces. Separate labyrinth over inner rotating seat to minimise contaminants in seal face area. Product side seal equipped with SiC faces and seats for durability and to resist abrasive particles in the seal area. Minimal usage of buffer gas. Double balanced. In the event of losing buffer gas pressure the internal seal will not open but function as a conventional liquid lubricated seal until corrective action is taken to restore buffer gas pressure. Bi-directional. Eliminates possibility of mis-fitting and will operate normally in either direction.

  • CARTRIDGE MOUNTED DUAL METAL BELLOWS SEAL

    EAGLE Mechanical Seals

The CF600 is a compact, cartridge mounted dual seal assembly. The inner (product seal) is a standard Eagle edge welded bellows seal having a variety of material options for maximum flexibility of application. The outer (atmospheric side) seal is a short axial length bellows seal which provides positive retention of low pressure (< 0.4 MPa) quench media as well as diverting pumpage to drain or safe area in the event of primary seal failure. The benefits of liquid quenching to the atmospheric side of a seal is widely accepted. Dependant on the nature of the pumped media, it is frequently necessary to flush the quench space to prevent build up of deposits under the primary seal faces. This is a normal condition in which the minute amounts of normal leakage crystallise or decompose into deposits which can inhibit seal flexibility and shorten seal life. The CF600 contains liquid quenches without the pressure restrictions encountered through the use of lip-seals, throttle bushings, labyrinths or other secondary containment devices. This has the benefit of eliminating spray leakage from the gland area and preventing ingress of quench media to the bearings. The CF600 is exceptionally easy to install, only requiring the seal plate to be bolted to the seal chamber and the sleeve locked to the shaft. There are no awkward setting clips to remove.

  • HIGH PERFORMANCE EMISSION SEAL

    EAGLE Mechanical Seals

The EM200 Series is a dry contact, stationary mounted, edge welded metal bellows seal using Eagle Industry's advanced tribology to achieve positive containment of toxic or hazardous emissions from single seals and acts as a safety back-up seal in the event of primary seal failure. The seal is mounted on the atmospheric side of the primary seal preventing the escape of the minute, normal emissions from the primary seal faces to the environment. Leakage of media such as propane, propylene or other volatile hydrocarbons is normally gaseous and is vented to flare or other collection system. Liquid leakage may be collected below the seal gland plate and disposed of to a safe drain.

Specific features of the EM200 Series. Stationary metal bellows allow very precise control of seal face loading, critical to dry contact sealing. Seal face materials developed specifically for dry contact application providing minimal friction and wear characteristics. May be nitrogen purged to prevent build up of hazardous gases in the seal quench space. May be used as a liquid seal for conventional tandem seal application.

  • EAGLE Mechanical Seals

The EK777 is a compactly designed stationary mounted seal for application in heavy-duty process pumps. Specifically designed for use in poor lubricating media, the EK777 is a high performance seal with the following features. Seal faces designed by FEM for optimum face presentation. Distributed flush flow providing best possible cooling and de-gassing performance. Stationary design isolates flexible element from shaft deflection or vibration. Angled set screw configuration of rotary collar prevents angular misalignment of rotary seat. Eliminates face "swashing". Narrow face design reduces interface temperatures and allows seal operation at low margins over vapour pressure. Unitised construction eases installation and simplifies conversion from other seal designs.

The EK777 is ideal for a wide variety of process applications, particularly those more difficult duties where safe, secure sealing is the first consideration.Available in a range of materials and seal configurations, the EK777 will give long, trouble-free operating life, reducing equipment downtime and maintenance cost.
