Overview: As a mechanical engineer, we perform engineering duties in planning designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. We oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.

Salary: A mechanical engineer earns $40.17 as an hourly wage, and $83,550 in an annual wage.

Employment: The best two states with a high paying income would be Michigan and California. In Michigan there is 31,330 people employed and earn $86,590 annually. In California there is 21,940 people employed and earn $93,250 annually.

Admission Requirement: (1) A bachelor’s degree or a recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. (2) A satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average(GPA) of 3.0 or on a 4.0 scale. (3) Enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in your chosen field.

Perquisites: Undergraduate Business Administration 10– principles of Business. All UC Berkeley applicant must complete this course at UC Berkeley. Math(Calculus)- Two semesters of calculus are required. Economics 1- Introduction to Economic. Satisfies 20,21, of 25- Introductory Probability and Statics. About the College: Stanford University is a private institution that was founded in 1885. Stanford is located in the Bay Area near San Francisco. This school uses a quarter-based academic calendar. Stanford offers a wide range of student organizations and variety of sports, such as: football, golf, tennis, etc.. Unapproved paper copies of the Common Application’s First-Year Application and the Stanford Supplement will not be accepted.

Admission Requirement: At MIT, a regular graduate student is one who is registered for a program of advanced study and research leading to a post-baccalaureate degree. A regular graduate student may concurrently hold an appointment as a research assistant, teaching assistant, or instructor. To be admitted as a regular graduate student, an applicant must have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor’s degrees are awarded before they enroll at MIT.
