Key Benefits

Easy and fast to integrate in existing plants

Conveyed material is protected againstweather

Dust and spillage free conveying

Handles materials which are difficult to handleby other conveyor types (e.g. fluffy, stringy)

Low noise emissions and low maintenancerequirements

ATEX compliant designs available

The MoveMaster® EB is a special type of beltconveyor/elevator developed by Schenck Process for thetransportation of very light (fluffy) and stringy materials thattend to “nest” using conventional conveyors. These materialsinclude biomass and household and industrial refuse derivedfuels (RDF).

The material is transported in chambers created by ribs onthe conveyor belt and the solid conveyor enclosure. This typeof design creates a dust and spillage free path up to thedischarge point. The design of the return branch ensures a self-cleaning function of the conveyor. Spilled material insidethe conveyor enclosure is collected and returned to the feedbranch of the belt. This ensures a smooth operation and lowmaintenance requirements.

Enclosing of the whole conveyor in a solid box providesprotection to the material conveyed as well as protecting thesurrounding area from contamination with the transportedproduct. This feature is a key safety and environmentalrequirement while transporting refuse and similar products.Modular design of the conveyor allows the combination ofhorizontal and vertical conveying within one machine.

The Corrugated belt conveyor offersthe following benefits to clients:

Easy and fast to integrate into existingplants

Suited for combinations of vertical andhorizontal conveying

Self-cleaning function and collection ofspilled material inside of conveyor body

Low power consumption

Low noise emissions

Low maintenance requirements

Totally enclosed options available

The Corrugated belt conveyors are designed for transportof bulk materials where a combination of transport in thehorizontal, inclined and vertical direction is possiblewithin one machine. Additionally the end station of theconveyor can have an angular displacement of thematerial up to 180°.

The transport belt of the corrugated belt conveyor is ofspecial design with lateral ribs and corrugated side walls. The ribs and side walls together form pockets fortransport of the material. The amount of material in eachpocket is determined by the belt width, the height of theribs and side walls, the incline of the conveyor track andby the properties for the transported material.

This conveying solution offers thefollowing benefits to the client:

Easy to integrate into existing plants

Suited for long distances and roughterrain as well as horizontal and verticalcurves

Conveyed material is protected againstoutside influences

Environment is protected againstpotential dust and spillage of material

To provide alternative methods of mechanical conveyingSchenck Process are able to supply Tube Belt conveyorswhich have a belt that forms an enclosed pipe whilstconveying. The Tube Belt conveyors are able to beinstalled with bends and curves which gives a greaterflexibility of design compared to conventional beltconveyors. The Tube Belt conveyor forms a closed pipeover the entire conveying distance and the belt opensautomatically before the material discharge point isreached.

Schenck Process range of Belt and Bucket and Chain andBucket Elevators are ideally suited for the handling ofheavy materials such as coal, raw meal, limestone andalternative fuels. The elevators are robust, economical andresistant to abrasion and can be designed to be dustlessand able to handle materials up to temperatures of 350ºC.

The Belt and Bucket or Chain and Bucket Elevators can beconfigured in a single, double or triple row bucketarrangement to suit the required tonnage rates. SchenckProcess' experience in the design and installation ofelevator systems worldwide can help to specify the correctconfiguration and dimensions.

Chain and Bucket Elevators are recommended for heavyloads and large lumps of material and are adaptable formaterials that tend to pack together. Chain and Bucketelevators are more suitable for very heavy duty service.

Belt and Bucket Elevators are recommended for lighter andfree-flowing materials with a small amount of lumps. The Belts have a high degree of durability and can run athigher speeds.
