1. PRINCIPLE The static capacitive unit measures a product level inside a hopper or a silo. This level varies from 0 to 100. - The index 0 corresponds to the lowest product level. - The index 100 corresponds to the highest required level This unit continuously measures the capacitance between the electrode and the metallic reference. The variation in capacitance is directly proportional to the product level inside the silo.

1. PRINCIPLE Push button or under automatic operating conditions, the measuring tape, which has been previously wound on its calibrated pulley and weighted with the counter-weight, goes down into the silo. When the counter-weight is in contact with the material, the motor stops and runs back. The inductive sensor which is located in front of the pulley generates pulses and the PLC counts these pulses and transform them in an analog output. 2. DESIGN The SONDOR III is divided into two separate tight compartments : The electrical compartment :
The motoreducing gear The static proximity detectors The relays and thermal protection The transformer and protection in the form of fuses The electronic PCB or the PLC control compartment
The mechanical compartment :
A gear motor A measuring tape in stainless steel An adjustable and dismantable scraper A sealing rubber cone A removable attach betweenslope and counter weight A counter-weight suitable to the product that is to be measured.
The shape of the mechanical compartment allows to discharge the scraper dust by gravity during each measurement.

2. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Measuring ultrasonic equipment are delivered with 24 VDC power supply. An optional card is proposed with power supply from 80 to 260 VAC. (2, 3 or 4 wires according to option and power supply selected). 2 possible versions : integral or remote version. The transmitter emits ultrasonic pulse, which is reflected by the product. The reflected signal is processed in a measured distance. Electronics continuously control the power of the emission to obtain the reflected signal at anytime (constant signal intensity) which enables continuous reading in difficult environment (froth, steam, dust etc…). Commissioning is easy, main parameters have to be set on the front face of the SULTAN. Besides the analog output in 4-20mA there are 2 relays (integral version) and 4 (remote version). One relay can be used for operating control (positive security).

1.PRINCIPLE
- This equipment is used for regulating and optimazing the infeed of ball grinding mill machines. - The sound emitted from the machine is transformed via the microphone set up in an accoustic box into an
analog signal after amplification. The signal representing the nominal working of the equipment called "readjustement signal" is subtracted from the continuous signal resulting from operations.
- Only variations around this electrical value are amplified and used for any system for automation, which gives accurate information.
2. MICROPHONE
- Microphone sets up into a roll shaped case (Ø 200, 220 mm long) closed on the front side with a chrome screwed grid allowing easy replacement of the microphone.
- Connection at the back with a locking connector by 2 wire shielded cable. - Option : microphone support made up of a very stable base (weight = 36 kg), and microphone support which
can be easily adjustable for installation. 3. STANDARD ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS - Power supply circuit is designed to supply power to the amplification module.

- Amplification circuit transforms the acoustic signal into a continuous analog voltage representing sound level. This signal is permanently compared to a reference signal representing the nominal work of the machine. The compensation of permanent noises during the running (other next located machine or grinding mill) is normally done when commissioning. - Display with a 3 alphanumerical digits module in which shows the representative analog signal of the sound emitted from the machine which is to be monitored.
