NB: All weak or non swimmers must wear armbands and are restricted to the shallow end if in the main pool. One Adult: Two children with or without armbands. Under 4 Years 4 – 7 Years Mixed Ages www.active-sefton.co.uk Active Sefton is a partnership between Sefton Council, NHS Sefton and the local voluntary and community sectors Swimming Pool: Swimming Pool: Family & Child Admissions Policy Family & Child Admissions Policy The admission criteria detailed has been developed following advice from National Governing Bodies, The Institute of Sport & Recreation Management (ISRM), The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), The Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) and The Royal Society For The Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA). A responsible person, aged at least 16 years of age, must accompany all children under the age of 8 years in the swimming pool. The responsible person must go into the water with the children they are accompanying and must maintain a constant watch over the children for whom they are responsible. If they are supervising more than one child under 8 years then they must ensure that the children under their care remain in the same pool at all times. Responsible Person Responsible Person
