Introduction :Introduction :The need for well-equipped hospitals and diagnostic

centers is increasing day by day as the people are becoming more conscious about their health problems.

All of these units are designed to offer the advantage of the low Nurse – Patient ratio and concentration of the equipment and the resources needed; to take care of critically ill or seriously injured units.

Most hospitals call Medical surgical emergency team by beeper annunciation or public annunciation system.

Introduction-continuedIntroduction-continued In order to over-come all these difficulties we have

decided to complete our project on such as biomedical system which will continuously monitor the body parameters of the patient under treatment. For this we are going to designed a well known system called “ Data Acquisition System”.

Literature SurveyLiterature SurveyConventional Methods

Doctors are used a Stethoscope for measuring Pulse Rate and Sphygmomanometer for measuring blood Pressure.

For ECG monitoring Doctors are used Dry Electrodes or Jelly Type Electrode.

are based on microcontroller that will only able to display Body Parameters on LCD Display.

Also Some uses GSM technology for sending SMS.

Block Diagram DescriptionBlock Diagram DescriptionTotal block diagram is divided into two modes, they are

Data acquisition mode.

Uploading and SMS sending mode

Page 11: ME Health Monitoring System PPT[1]

Data acquisition modeThe main block is ARM-7 micro controller which is

heart of the System which provides monitoring of different parameters.

It senses signals from input blocks and processes output blocks. The software program is stored in ARM-7 microcontroller on chip memory, according to which it provides the acquisition and send actions

The on chip ADC converts these parameters into digital form and gives to the ARM-7 microcontroller.

Page 12: ME Health Monitoring System PPT[1]

Uploading and SMS sending modeThe system adopts framework design thought of module

and other function modules The main control module is mainly up to human

computer interaction, communication with functional modules, data storage, data transmission, etc. Through controlling the main functional module, the user may operate the functional module as well as other system functions and the data will be saved in the main control module

All the parameters are send through GSM Modem as per requirement.

ApplicationApplicationThis proposed system is expected to monitor the

electrical activity of heart of the patient under critical care more conveniently and accurately for diagnosing

which can be interfaced with computer to bring it under a network system widely for the doctor to monitor the patient’s condition sitting in his own office without being physically present near to the patient’s bed

Page 21: ME Health Monitoring System PPT[1]

ConclusionConclusionSometimes for some special patients

need to be monitored Patient’s heart condition regularly even if patient is not in the hospital and again doctor may want to check different patient’s condition simultaneously without going to their bed physically.

Our proposed system is expected to serve this kind of purpose more conveniently

The main goal of proposed system is to meet

the demand of low cost, low power consumption, small volume and real-time
