a. Before formal commencement of class room teaching, students are made to undergo ‘The Orientation

Programme’ in order to make them aware with:

b. The department makes its academic calendar for every academic session .This calendar is followed strictly to

meet every goal in time .The calendar is attached here with.

c. The Department provides college outlines and course schedules prior to the commencement of the academic

session. The schedule is as listed in the academic calendar.

d. B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering) predominantly follow the lecture method. Apart from classrooms ,the

Industrial visits are organized for the better experience of the students

e. The PDP (Personality Development Programs) are organized. Group Discussion, Role play events are organized

for the students for making learning more efficient.

f. Nimbus program is set up by the department to provide the teaching material to the students study anytime

anywhere through e- learning.

g. Advisers for each class are appointed to guide every student in every possible way, for the better growth of the

students.

h. All the teachers are evaluated by the students on basis of the teaching, way of interactions, and knowledge of the

teacher. After the results, required actions are taken.

34. Participation in Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) and Extension activities

A Seven Days NSS Camp Was Organized at CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology in

Co-Ordination with PTU during 26/02/2013 To 04/03/2013. The main agenda of this camp was “Cancer &

Hepatitis Awareness” in the villages near by Jalandhar.

More than 300 students participated in this camp; from CT Group of Institutions and different

institutions/colleges of Punjab.

Students of CT Institutions and various colleges affiliated to Punjab Technical University visited the nearby

village Pholariwal and made the villagers aware by street play at Pipal Chowk of village about the

destructive effects of drug addiction and told them how to prevent such damages under the aegis of Seven

Days NSS Camp On “Hepatitis And Cancer Awareness” organized by CT Group Institutions in

collaboration of Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala.
