Become a business-savvy doctor with this uniquely structured combined degree program offered by FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) and the College of Business Chapman Graduate School. While you pursue your MD, earn your Healthcare MBA from a highly regarded CAHME-accredited program—and one of only two Healthcare MBA programs in the state of Florida accredited by both CAHME and AACSB. As the worlds of healthcare and business become increasingly interconnected, physicians who understand the financial and economic forces within the healthcare system are better prepared to manage, lead and innovate in any medical environment. Through this combined degree program, you’ll earn your Healthcare MBA between your third and fourth academic years of medical school (total completion time: 9 months). You will enhance your understanding of U.S. and international healthcare systems, expand your knowledge of healthcare operations and management, and sharpen your ability to make complex business decisions—critical skills for any practicing physician. You will also broaden your opportunities to explore careers in pharmaceuticals, hospital administration, or physician practice management.

MD/HCMBA COMBINED DEGREE PROGRAM

PROGRAM FEESTuition for the combined MD/HCMBA program is approximately $33,000 for all students. This program requires a non-refundable application fee of $30. A $500 non-refundable professional development seminar fee is due upon acceptance into the program.
