October is a busy month for me. For 2 weeks straight, I have birthdays from my Mom, to Devyn and her father. Having 25 7 and 8 year olds gives a unique perspective and it made me ask the question:

When have you ever decided to just simply believe?

My daughter is 8 and she simply believes because she has not been disappointed enough.

We stop believing because we don’t want to be disappointed. Realize that although disappointment can be painful, it cannot kill you unless you allow it to.

Understand that disappointment just like misery is a choice. You can choose to wallow in it or choose to learn from it and decide that you are excited about starting over.

As long as the idea is still in your notebook, it is perfect but nothing in your life has changed.

Give that idea what it needs to be blossomed and see where it can go. The best introduction I had was someone who said, Richelle is great and we are so grateful to have her as an example of someone who had an idea and made the decision to see it to the end. With that, we have an amazing book that can help you build your own million dollar business.

Do you have the perseverance to see your idea to the end? I promise you on this side even after the ups and the downs, it feels pretty good.

This month’s issue provides inspirational blog posts all committed to this theme. Also, Sumiyyah Rasheed as MDE Implementer of the Month understands what it takes to keep going.

So as a brief reminder, I have to tell you again, Just Don’t Quit!

-Keep Implementing Richelle

I talked to several clients creating their end of the year MDE Action Plans and one of the

common themes, was to remind them to just don’t quit.

When we set out to create our businesses we also end up creating expectations. Often those expectations give us ammunition to quit.

For example, I talked with a fairly new entrepreneur who started her business in February of this year and she was unhappy about the results of her business thus far. First of all, she works full time and is a part time entrepreneur. Since February she has a list of 100 buyers. And... she is disappointed in those results.

Expectations....

With 100 customers and the Million Dollar Equation, she can have the business of her dreams. Just don’t quit.

I have a post it note that says :

As long as you keep going, you will get somewhere. It may not be as fast as you would have liked and it may not be where you wanted to be, but if you quit, you will be right where you are.

Don’t quit!

MDE GUIDEPRODUCT OF THE MONTH

If you have heard me speak live, you have heard my story about building my telephone company and how I read a storyabout a chiropractor who said he needed 72 new patients each month to keep his practice at the million dollar level. He built practices and sold them.

“He was asked what do you do to bring in 72 new patients per month. He replied, I don’t know one way to bring in 72 new patients but I know 72 ways to bring in one and I do all 72 per month. “

At that point, I counted how many ways I was bringing in a new customer. It was nowhere near 72, so I set out on a journey to increase the number of ways that I brought in a new customer and then, the magic happened. And I kept adding and adding to 87 different ways. So now, one of the first things I look for in any business is how many ways are you generating a new customer?

In Vegas we call it “SLOT MACHINES”. Some pay 2:1, some pay 100:1 but if you were winning on slot machines you would play them all. Why are you limiting how many ways you are bringing in a new customer? YOUR one and only goal needs to be how can you create more and more slot machines in your business.

This training is all about creating your own slot machines, the ones that will generate consistent new clients, customers or patients to your business. It starts with explanations of my favorite 85 ways, and then it shows examples of how to use them in your business.

The TOP 7 Ways to bring in new business• My proven 10 ways that you probably are forgetting that exist inside your business

FROM THE BLOGWHAT’S BEEN GOING ON...

::: check out her blog at www.richelleshaw.com/blog :::

WHY ARE YOUR NOT HAPPY AFTER SURVIVAL?Are you still blaming yourself for things that happened? Instead of celebrating the fact that you survived? Today my client mentioned that she was fearful to restart a new business because she closed her old one. And I thought about what my pastor said. And I asked her why is she not celebrating the opportunity to start all over, instead of focusing on what she felt was a failure. Here are the facts – businesses close every day. They close often not because you were not able to make money, but because what it took to make money, was not worth the risk...............................................................................................................................I USED TO LOVE WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS BUT NOT WHY YOU THINK…I used to love weekends and holidays, not because I would get a day off, but because I would work in peace. The work in peace had nothing to do with what you think either, the peace I gained from weekends and holidays was based on the fact that the bank was closed! No bounced checks, no overdraft fees, nothing that would cause more stress in my life. I am not sure if this post speaks to you, but an amazing relief it was for being able to rest. I would plot and plan all weekend or holiday long. I would try to get done all that I could to make as much money while the bank was closed.

..............................................................................................................................DOING TOO MUCH!Look -Even I say that Diversity leads to stability, but you must perfect one thing first. Hear me out. It is good to have a book, a virtual conference, a new product. BUT, in order to see it build momentum, you must be focused first doing everything possible to promote the information. I had an example last week of a client who wrote a book last year, and has not promoted that book since the “launch” process. You can’t stop promoting and the book can be consistently generating new leads, but only if you consistently promote it. Take the CHALLENGE – Pick one thing, post it below and focus on it for the next 100 days – then, let’s see what next to do! Visit www.richelleshaw.com/blog for the full article.

SUMIYYAH RASHEED__________________________________

1What does your company do?

Ann Nahari features up-scale ready-to-wear and delicate sensual plus size lingerie.Ms. Rasheed makes Ready-to-wear garments for the international market, but she also includes lingerie in her choice of designs for full figured women as well. “Plus size women are beautiful and deserve to be seen as such. Why shouldn’t they have the option to buy clothing which reflects that they are beautiful, stylish and chic? There should not be a limit to their choices of clothing on the racks. On the contrary―there should be a plethora of options in every clothing shop for plus sizes, just like there are for sizes 0-12.” says, Sumiyyah Rasheed.

2What is your favorite marketing tool/

software/program?

My favorite marketing tool is good old direct mail post cards, hand-written notes, personal phone calls and icontact for email marketing. But my ultimate is direct mail posts card and phone calls to hear and great my customers.

3 What is your favorite part of The Million

Dollar Equation – Emerald Training?

My favorite part of The Million Dollar Equation – Emerald Training are the monthly videos chalked full of tried and true marketing results and definitely the homework assignments to think through what Richelle teaches and take portions to adapt to my business model. All of the Emerald Training information is easily modifiable and adaptable to any industry.

4Where do you see your business in

2013?

In 2013 I see my business flourishing financially and process wise through specialized customer events and laser focused referral program to build the customer base to achieve the financial goal I set for my company. I see the Ann Nahari Intimates surging to the front of my competitors in the Intimate Apparel Industry and becoming

the go-to brand for curvy women.

5Any specific results due to the

implementation?

The specific results due to the Ann Nahari Buzz Creator (ANBC) program are increased sales to targeted lingerie and ready-to-wear boutiques. The ANBC is a program I developed to help store owners gain interest in my product through calls to the stores requesting the product. The program is a three phase project but highly effective. To further drive sales, my sales manager and I partnered with local bridal boutiques to reach potential lingerie customers faster. Brides-to-be spend an enormous amount of time fussing over the right dress and foundation and give little if any thought to the wedding night attire. That’s where my company steps in and offers a luxurious solution.

Because I implemented an aggressive customer referral program, assigned a dedicated sales person to make face-to-face contact with bridal stores, the interest in my company’s product has surged. We are able to leave brochures in the bridal boutiques and ultimately give private lingerie trunk shows for prospective brides. Among consumers the awareness is growing and curvy women see the brand has a viable solution to their problem of finding sophisticated yet alluring lingerie in larger sizes.

6Final Comments:

Being an entrepreneur isn’t for the faint of heart. I mean if and when situations go the opposite direction of your plan, don’t quit. It just means it is an opportunity to discover something better. Building the apparel company from point zero and plunging into the cut-throat fashion industry was a huge undertaking. When I needed answers, I found go-to people in the industry with the expertise. Through all the turmoil, twists and turns I remained committed and focused on my goal to build an apparel manufacturing and distribution company based in America. To achieve my goal I strategized with a close friend every Sunday morning. We got out our world maps and plotted how and where I should travel to observe and analyze garment factories so I could learn how to do it myself. Those trips included Mexico, Morocco, India, Pakistan, China,Turkey and the Middle East. I traveled with my back, my mission and my notebook. I asked questions(through interpreters) made careful diagrams and notes. When I returned home after each trip I implemented a new process to enhance my supply chain and delivery cycle. I encourage entrepreneurs not to quit. It is so terribly easy to stop and gain nothing. It is okay to take a break, a breather if you will. To be good to the point where the task is a habit or second nature takes time, energy and persistence. You have to see yourself in the big picture. Not in a box. I’ve tried all kinds of marketing and operational techniques. If it doesn’t work I step back and analyze to determine if it(the process) can or should be fixed or move on to something else. The point is as Richelle so righteously says, keep trying stuff and don’t rest on your laurels. I’m not the most eloquent speaker or writer but I will say Richelle Shaw has the solution for any business or industry because her proven methods transcend any industry. The techniques are highly adaptable. All you have to do is try.

MDE GUIDEIMPLEMENTER OF THE MONTH

Join Sumiyyah in the MDE Emerald Training Program by clicking here: http://www.MDENation.com/New-and-improved-Emerald/

WHY SUMIYYAH WAS CHOSEN:One of the things I like about Sumiyyah is her no fuss attitude. For the last month’s since MDE Live – Fuel the Momentum in June, 2013, Sumiyyah has implemented more things than most. Here’s why I picked her – because even after the first 2 projects had less than stellar results, she kept going.

She could have had 1,000 reasons to quit. One being that she still has a very lucrative contract position and is coveted by 2 other Fortune 50 Companies, but she did not allow less than stellar results rule her implementationAre you allowing something to stop you? I’m not saying that you do not have the reason to, or that you don’t have the right to quit, but Sumiyyah, decided to press forward.

NOW, after the first frustrating 50 days, she is on a roll. Her event in February, 2014 already has over 50 people registered. She attended New York Fashion Week and presented to buyers.

Nothing but success, but only because she decided not to quit.

Congrats!
