WISEMAN’S FERRY (From Our Correspondent.)
Private Allan McLean, son of Mr and Mrs McLean, late teacher of Wiseman’s Ferry, is reported to have died
from wounds. There is to be a memorial service at Wiseman’s Ferry next Sunday by Rev. Hughes. The
deceased young soldier was well respected, and the blow will be keenly felt by his parents, who have now
only one son left.

Private Allan McLean, whose father, Mr A. McLean, was formerly Schoolteacher at Wiseman’s Ferry, but
now resides on the South Coast, has died of wounds received in battle on the Western front.
