an 18 month period, CUBE from Rhinoplay improves upon traditional contained play equipment in every way. From material choice to engineering to

serviceability to safety, every aspect of CUBE has been detailed & designed to create the ultimate NEXT-GENeration PlayPlace Solution.

MATERIALSTraditionally, play structure frames have been produced from

steel. While steel is an inexpensive & readily available material,

it has a few drawbacks when used as a play frame – the biggest

being rust. CUBE from Rhinoplay is constructed from anodised aluminium rails, engineered to allow for the most dynamic

plays structures available today. With much higher strength/

weight ratio than steel, our aluminium frames result in a much

safer play frame with a longer lifespan than steel.

CUBE from Rhinoplay has been specifically designed to limit any potential for rust. Not a single component requires

drilling to the frame, which negates the potential for rust to

occur. Traditional play frames involve drilling Tek Screws into

steel posts. Whenever this occurs, any protective layers on

the steel posts are broken by the screw which leads to contact

from varying metals. As soon as a conducter between the two

meets the screw & steel (such as water, while hosing down the

play frame), rust begins to occur. By ensuring that CUBE from

Rhinoplay requires no drilling, your NEXT-GEN play place will literally last for generations to come.

Our UV treated, transparent polycarbonate graphic panels

(the same material used for motorcycle windscreens) not only

provide an incredibly strong & robust method of ensuring child safety, but allow for easy supervision of children at all times.

With a 3 year warranty on all polycarbonate components, our

panels have been tested to stand up to the day to day rigours of

even the busiest PlayPlace.

Our cable products are designed and engineered from the

highest quality galvanised steel & nylon braided rope available.

Slippery RampCUBE from Rhinoplay features a fantastic climbing ramp that

allows children to pick their means of ascent. Children can

climb the moulded hand and foot grips, or test themselves on

the smooth side of the ramp. Descending down the ramp offers

the same fun flexibility, with children able to climb down via the hand holds or slide down the smooth surface.

Tri-ClimberThe CUBE Tri-Climber integrates seamlessly into the

surrounding framework & panels, while providing an incredibly

safe way for children of all sizes to ascend to great heights.

The tiered surfaces of the Tri-Climber have been specifically designed to prevent a fall at any position greater than 580mm.

This eliminates the need for additional impact attenuation &

ensures that children are as safe as possible at all times. The

rail provides children climbing with an additional aid to ease

their ascent, while also acting as a safeguard to any children not

watching where they are going – preventing them from falling

down the deck opening below.

In compliance with AS3533.4.2, a sphere of 500mm can pass

through the climber in any configuration which is indicative of an adult climbing through. If a child is in distress, adult staff

members and/or guardians can climb through the CUBE system

to aid accordingly.

Toddler SlideCUBE from Rhinoplay features an open toddler slide.

Tunnel slides can be daunting for smaller children. While our

transparent tubes offer a great means of allowing light into

dark tunnel slides, smaller toddlers will often have difficulty with tunnel slides. For this reason, we have developed an open

toddler slide. Parents & guardians can help toddlers climb to

the slide & sit in position, while guiding them down gently. Clear

sight lines & ample access allows even the tiniest of children to

have fun sliding.

Amusement rides & devices Part 4.2: Specific requirements – Contained play facilities. Every component has been extensively analysed & tested to ensure that CUBE is the safest, most refined PlayPlace solution available.

NEXT-GEN SAFETYCUBE from Rhinoplay features its own custom extruded

channel which seamlessly ties polycarbonate panels to the

framework. Older play systems rely on welded steel tabs on

posts, but this results in numerous pinch points where children

can injure their fingers & hands. CUBE’s specifically designed channel strengthens the panel & ensures children cannot

catch their fingers in the junction between framework & sheet materials. This results in a much safer PlayPlace for all children.

CUBE from Rhinoplay features a universal frame junction

that allows for hundreds of attachment configurations & combinations. Engineered to mask any structural hardware such

as nuts & bolts from children, CUBE’s ball junction is a safe

structural element that provides the flexibility for future frame expansion if desired. Apart from future PlayPlace flexibility, the CUBE ball junction allows for simple panel maintenance &

results in a high-end, professional finish – complete with custom ‘M’ caps.
