Two Case SolutionThe MCD-PILOT may fully operate while inside the larger case,or be removed for placing/mounting the domed antenna up to 20meters away from the smaller IP67 transceiver case. Both thelarger case and transceiver case are waterproof and designed tooperate in extreme environments.

No User Training NeededSimplicity and performance in extreme environments is our goalin developing the MCD-PILOT. Operation is as simple as placingthe closed case under an open sky and turning it on with asingle button push. The system will establish an Internet hotspotautomatically in about a minute.

Iridium Openport Service for the MCD-PILOTThe MCD-PILOT connects with the Iridium Openport globalsatellite service available from Ground Control or any otherIridium service provider that offers Openport service.

The MCD-PILOT has three components, 1. The domedantenna with 20 meter antenna cable, 2. The smallerwaterproof transceiver case, and 3. The larger transportcase (which is not required for operation).

The waterproof IP67 transceiver case has ports forEthernet and two phone lines, each with their own phonenumber. On top is the only button needed to operate theMCD-PILOT... the On and Off button.

The larger transport case includes access to the Ethernetand phone ports on the transceiver case (as well asWiFi). The MCD-PILOT solution will operate while insideof the larger transport case, even with the case lid closed.

The transport case is easily moved by one person andcan weight up to 101 lbs (46 kg)... Note that the largercase itself is not required for full system operation.

Operating up to 6 hours on internal battery, the MCD-PILOT is an excellent communication resource when noother means of communication is possible.

MCD-PILOT Specifications

Here the Iridium antenna of the MCD-PILOT is removedfrom the transport case and placed on the ground. It mayalso be placed on a permanent mount for longer terminstalls.

Once connected, the MCD-PILOT is a WiFi access pointto any in range wireless devices. With speeds of 128Kbps, it is a workable Internet connection when otherservices are down or not available.
