SOP: McCrady's Tables Introduction Below is a 5-tube MPN table used to determine the most probable number of positive organisms per 1 mL of inoculum. This is an abbreviated table as the full table would be too large. The actual amount of sample inoculum decreases ten-fold with each succeeding set of tubes. In the first column are the results of the 10 mL tube, in the second column are the 1 mL tube results and in the third column the results of the 0.1 mL tubes.
