A NOTE FROM THE LIBRARY: May 24 – Aug. 2 Keep your reading skills sharp this summer by joining the Geneva Public Library’s “Adventure by Design” Summer Reading Program. Read and complete the first log to earn coupons for local businesses and a chance to win a tablet. Keep reading or choose a combination of reading and activities to complete the second log and finish the program. Participants who finish the program receive a prize book of their choice and are automatically entered for a chance to win an iPad Mini and other fun prizes. Register anytime May 24 onward by coming to the Geneva Public Library or visit our website at www.gpld.org for more details. We provide all parcipants with 30 minutes of homework me. Homework me is quiet me. To ensure everyone’s safety, parcipants need to wear athlec shoes everyday to fully parcipate. Please make sure your child is dressing appropriately for the weather. We will enjoy the outdoors as much as possible! Label your children’s coats and other belongings. Be sure to check our lost and found daily! Remember you must sign your child in and out each day. This is very important. Also please understand for the safety of your child we will ID anyone picking up your child that we do not recognize. Thank you for your cooperaon and understanding. Please remember if your child is going to be absent to call the site to let us know. Our phone is only on during program operang hours but feel free to call anyme. Please leave a message with the date and your child's name if calling them in for the day. Electronic devices and toys should stay home. The Park District will not be responsible for them. HAVE FUN! May starts off with a bang, with our Star Wars week. We will play some Jedi mind trick games, and make some cool lightsabers. Next up is Music week and it is sure to be lots of fun. We will make our own instruments, and learn some silly songs. We will end Beach Week with a half day on Friday, May 19th and have an awesome beach day! Have your kids wear their favorite Beach ouits for our costume contest! Don’t forget this is a half day , please bring a sack lunch to Kid’s Zone. Go BIG or Go Home week has a ton of FUN jam packed into one week! We will bring out the Giant board games, and really go BIG with our craſts. We have definitely saved the best for last with our Last Week of Kid’s Zone. We will have lots of outdoor acvies, including a water day on June 5th . Don’t forget a towel and change of clothes.
