A copy of our certificate and scope are attached fully
endorsed by our Managing Director.
As part of our management system we conduct quarterly
audits of our processes, as well as daily, weekly and
monthly monitoring of performance at department level.
Our system also covers any third parties contracted to
Mayflex and is used to manage their performance levels,
at regular service reviews.
Furthermore we ensure training records are maintained
for all personnel, though these are private and
confidential and not available for disclosure. Formal
induction plans are created for all new starters part of
which covers non conformance and the fact that all non
conformances are recorded, investigated and resolved.

+ Product Conformity
All goods that Mayflex supply have been procured from
an approved supplier to Mayflex and manufactured in
accordance with the manufacturers/suppliers descriptions
and specifications.
The goods are stored under suitable conditions, not used,
modified or repaired and have been subjected to our own
Quality Control system requirements.
+ Procedure Amendments
All procedures are logged and referenced with their own
unique process number.
The attached index gives a list of the processes. If the
process has been amended this is also highlighted with
date shown of the new date.
+ Non-Conformances and QA Assurance
As an ISO 9001:2008 certified company we ensure that
all non-conformances are logged, reviewed and actioned
accordingly. All internal departments and third parties,
such as couriers and suppliers, acting on behalf of
Mayflex are measured against performance (and non
conformance).
Daily, weekly and monthly reports are generated at
departmental, strategic management and director level to
ensure that the company is performing to the standards set
out.
These areas as well as being monitored internally are also
audited by BSI twice a year. These audits also take in to
account, training records, and calibration records

A Solid and Dependable Environmental Responsibility Program
Mayflex aim to continually review and reduce any
negative environmental impact that our business
activities create, including waste production and
waste disposal.
Introduction of literature produced on recycled or FSC paper
All of our literature is produced on paper made from recycled
fibres or printed on FSC certified paper sourced from
sustainable forests.
Implementation of the WEEE Compliance Statement
As a supplier of electrical and electronic equipment, Mayflex
has a clear and compliant approach to its responsibility with
regard to the European Union’s Waste Electrical and Electronic
(WEEE) Directive. All products that are subject to the WEEE
Directive, supplied by Mayflex from 13th August 2005, are
compliant with the WEEE marking requirements. Such products
are marked with the ‘crossed out wheelie bin’ WEEE symbol in
accordance with European Standard EN 50419.
Commitment to reducing our packaging and waste by 40% or more
Through our waste management program, we aim to reduce
our packaging usage and waste disposal by more than 40%.
Our aim is to use only recyclable packaging cartons and
materials for the transportation of our products to customers.
From 1st September 2008, all Mayflex cartons that leave our
distribution warehouse, have two symbols displayed on them:
the green triangle, confirming that the carton is made from
recycled materials and proving that we are compliant with
EU directives and; the green dot, indicating that Mayflex is
contributing to a ‘packaging waste compliance scheme’.
We are also aware of our landfill responsibilities and we have
an efficient recycling system in place at our head office location
in order to recycle all our waste cardboard, paper, plastic and
wood.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Businesses operating in today’s challenging
environments have a number of important issues to
consider, such as the economic, environmental and
social impact they are having on the world around them.
At Mayflex, we have a reputation for being one of the
most trusted, reliable and forward-thinking distributors
in the market today. These strong foundations have
enabled us to build into our business model, best
practices to help with the environmental and community
responsibilities we have. We have put in place the
following practices in line with our corporate social
responsibility.
EU Directive 2011/65/EU on the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment
In July 2011 the Recast RoHS Directive was published by
the European Commission in their Official Journal which,
from the 2nd January 2013, makes it a legal document
with which we need to comply with.
Mayflex are fully compliant with this directive and confirm
that all of the products that we supply either directly or
through our supply chain are fully compliant with this
directive.
We have worked closely with all our suppliers in the
period leading up to and following the law coming in to
force to ensure a smooth transition.

Reach Statement
Mayflex UK Ltd hereby confirms that in case of products sourced we always observe the
prescriptions of REACH (1907/2006/EC) regulation and the product(s) are fully compliant
with the relevant regulation. We ensure that our supply partners apply and adhere to the
regulations.
REACH compliance means that all substances contained within our product portfolio:
+ has/have been pre-registered and/or has/have been registered by our company and/or our
suppliers, and/or
+ is/are excluded from the Regulation, and/or
+ exempted from registration
Observance of the prescriptions are also demanded by us from our suppliers, and it is
continuously checked.
The pertinence of the above mentioned information is continuously checked by us, if any
change happens or new information comes up, our customers will be informed immediately.

Statement of IntentMayflex Health & Safety Policy
Mayflex recognise that it has a duty to ensure, so far
as is reasonably practical, the Health and Safety of all
company employees and others who may be affected by
its operations.
It is the company’s policy to comply with legal Health &
Safety requirements and relevant codes of practice as a
minimum standard.
The company requires employees at all levels to exercise
a duty of care, and also co-operate in establishing and
maintaining safe working conditions and to avoid any
actions, which may be detrimental to the Health & Safety
of themselves and others.
Each individual member of the Management team
Supervisor and Team-Leader is expected to take care
of Health & Safety of employees and will be held
accountable for accidents or dangerous events within
there area of responsibility.
When operating on customers premises Mayflex
personnel will at all times work in a safe and professional
manner in accordance with industry codes of practice
and comply with all local health & safety requirements.
Training identified by Managers and Supervisors will be
arranged to ensure that employees at all levels are:-
+ Aware of the Health & Safety responsibilities.
+ Competent to carryout their duties.
+ Competent to operate tools, plant and equipment.
Risk assessments will be carried out periodically and
reviewed annually. In the event that the
risks are affected b y changes in operating practices or
by re-location of the activity, they will
be re-assessed and recorded.
Policy statements will be brought to the notice of all
employees. All policy statements will
be regularly reviewed and revised as necessary and the
revisions brought to the notice
of employees.

Scope
Mayflex is involved in the stockholding, supply and
assembly of cabling infrastructure, networking products, IP
Security products, from quality assured sources without lot
traceability. (Assembly is for data cabinets).
The Company Mission Statement: Mayflex aims to be the supply partner of choice in cabling
infrastructure, IP networking products, security products
and support services.
Application of Quality Management System The Mayflex Quality Management System is designed
to operate within the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. In
applying the requirements of this standard, some clauses
have been deemed inappropriate due to the nature of the
organisations business.
Such exclusions are described below:
+ Clause 7.3 Design and Development
There is at this stage , no responsibility for the design and
development of products procured from third party sources
+ Clause 7.5.2 Validation of Processes
There are not considered to be any special processes
undertaken on site that cannot be validated.
+ Clause 7.5.4 Customer Property
There is no use of customer supplied property/product by
Mayflex in it’s product realisation process.
The Mayflex Quality Management System is integrated
with all other operating processes to achieve customer
satisfaction.
