A common complaint from business owners is that they placed
an ad in their local paper and didnt see a return. From this
they have determined that advertising doesnt work. They are
right, if you buy an ad it wont work. Thats because an ad is
not advertising.
Think about how many advertisements you see in a day. Is one
ad going to stand out among all that? Of course not.
Advertising is about the campaign. So what does a campaign
entail? Quite a lot as it turns out, but it doesnt have to be as
difficult as you might think.
Start With The Message
Your audience knows youre trying to sell them something.
Simply telling them what it is will not get their attention. Tug at
their heartstrings, tickle their funny bone, or remind them of
days gone by. Don;t simply talk to them, you must evoke areaction. Think about the commercials that stand out in your
memory. They don;t stand out because of the product or
service. They stand out because they made you feel
something. Your ad must do the same.
Find Your Audience
Once youve crafted your message, how do you get it to the
people you need to reach?

I would like to share something that happened recently with one of my clients. Imworking with a local family. The wife works for a large multi-national company andthe husband works as a handyman. They became my clients this past summerand they recently asked me to research the husbands current businessinsurance.
Of course, I agreed and the first thing I noticed in their current policy was that the
husband was classified as a carpenter. So I asked himare you a carpenter?Well guess what hes not, because in the course of his work week he does dosome light carpentry, some electrical work, and minor home repairs, etc In facthe is a handyman! The commercial class code on his policy was wrong. Thismeans that if he had a claim while doing something un-carpenter like he ran therisk of having the claim being denied by his insurance company and having hispolicy cancelled. On the other side of the coin, his current agent (no, not mebuta LARGE state-wide chain) has a possible errors and omissions exposure.
Useful Advice From Star-Schein LLC
As a quick side note-a class code is the code for a type of business. This code is in turn associated with a rate. Eachbusiness type has a different code which means each code has a different rate. For example a carpenter is generallya less expensive rate than a roofer.
Sometimes an agent might misclassify a business deliberately because the rates are more favorable. An agent thatdoes this might lose the ability to sell insurance for that company, especially if he/she does this often. While this maysave you money on your insurance it could cost you a good deal more if your business is not classified correctly. Thepoint is; check with your insurance agent to make sure that you are correctly covered for what you do. When youreceive your commercial policy, please review the declaration page(s) carefully to make sure the information aboutyour business and its operations are correct. Commercial insurance policies are very specific about what they willNOT pay for. If you see something there that either does not make sense, or you dont understandASK.
When you receive your commercial policy and you have questions, your agent should be very willing to answer anyand all your questions about it. By the way, when shopping for commercial insurance, you may want to considerusing an independent insurance agent (like me!). They have more than one company they work with and if the ratesgo up with your current carrier, they can always shop your business with another company.

Tips for Choosing a Pet Sitter or Dog WalkerProvided to You by: Out of the Dog House Pet Sitting and Dog Walking
A person looking for a pet sitter or dog walker has many options to choose from when selecting a qualified
professional to look after their pets. When looking for someone to watch your pets you should consider the
following to help with this very important decision.
The sitter should: Be insured for liability, including care, custody, and control of the pet to protect you and your loved one. Provide references. Provide a copy of the legal terms of your contract, including the cancellation policy and other terms. Have some knowledge of pet first aid. Meet with you prior to initiating services. Have proper licensing for their service area.
Questions to ask: Is the business a full time operation, or do they have limited availability due to another job or school? Does the sitter talk positively about other sitters in the area, and seem informed about the industry and
other pet care providers? Will you have the same sitter serving your home the entire time you are away? Does the sitter bring their pets or children with them to the visits? How often will the sitter leave a note for you? How will your key be stored or returned? Has the sitter cared for your type of pet in the past? Is the sitter a member of professional organizations, such as pet sitting associations, humane
organizations, or other pet care group?
Please go to our FAQ page at www.outofthedoghousect.com for our responses to each question and statement.
At Out of the Dog House we take pride in our customer satisfaction, reliability, and quality service.

Advertising (continued from Page 1)
Target your market. If your ad market is senior citizens, placing a commercial on Cartoon Network isnt going to
help. An ad in the AARP magazine, however, would be an excellent vehicle. Study your market. What are they
reading, watching, and listening to? Thats where you need to be. Television, radio, direct mail, search engines,
newspapers, magazines, websites, social media, and mobile phones all offer ways to reach your audience.
When you think you have found the place to put your ad, call them up. Any media representative will be able to
give you the demographics and psychographics of their audience. If their market matches yours, youve found
the right medium for your message.
Once Is Never Enough
To get your ad noticed it needs to be repeated. To get your ad noticed it needs to be repeated. To get your ad
noticed it needs to be repeated. For your ad to have an impact it needs to push through all the clutter. There are
several ways to do that. The first is multiple insertions. Place your ad in the same medium multiple times. The
more people see it, the more they will notice it. Another way is to create a campaign. Have several ads that all
share common elements. Each could be a different take on a tagline. They could share a common theme. The
important thing is that it must be obvious that all the ads belong together. The advantage of the campaign is that
you achieve the repetition you need while avoiding overexposure of your ad. Even better is to run
complimentary campaigns in multiple media. Let your print ads connect to your direct mail. Show your ads on
your website. Promote your facebook fan page at the end of a radio spot. As long as each medium reaches
your target market, you can use them in tandem.
Advertising Alone Is Not Enough
While advertising is effective, it
doesnt stand alone. To enhance itseffectiveness, it needs to be part of
a complete marketing campaign.
Public relations, social media
marketing, networking, and more
will all enhance your response.
Advertising is a wonderful tool, and
like any tool, only effective when
used correctly.

Inspirational Angel Readings by Diane C. Esposito

Day 29 Angel Reading 29 of 70.: Dearest Most Beloved One,
With all the love and joy that abounds in unconditional love, we are here to remind you of the gift in the obstacles. When theunexpected crosses your path with delays, changes in plans, or redirection, remember to ask for our assistance to help you choose the mosthealing adjustments to your course. Notice the intuitive clues and signs and trust in your ability to discern.
When you allow yourself to feel and acknowledge the panic or drama, you will more easily release the need to be overwhelmed by
the emotion. The choice to breathe and release the anxiety creates the sacred space upon which to regain your balance. Remember that youconnect more fully with Divine Guidance when you release the physical and emotional tension with the deep, cleansing breaths.
Opportunity speaks to becoming aware of the perceptions that heal even when faced with disappointment, frustration, and unexpectedchallenges. Perceptions that heal come from the depths of the soul. Look deeper into yourself rather than to what appears on the
surface. Ask your guardian angels to guide you to stillness, when stillness opens your heart and mind to the truth, and to movementwhen movement is most appropriate.
For those who are moved to further your journey,Private 70-Minute Angelic Readings or Holistic Coaching Sessions infused with AngelMessages are available by appointment for $70.You may reserve yourphone or face to face session with Diane at 203-284-1204 or toselect a session from a variety of options visit http://www.personalharmonyhandhealth.com
