NEXT GENERATION WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT FROM ORACLE

Over the past several years, Oracle has brought to bear the full force of its software research and

development power to renew and deepen its Warehouse Management Solution (WMS). Now a leader

in this arena, Oracle's investment has delivered hundreds of advanced features and offers

unprecedented flexibility in deployment regardless of your existing application footprint.

Flexible Deployment Options

Oracle WMS's new distributed deployment capability is a true game changer in the field of enterprise

warehouse management. It challenges the traditional idea of integration by providing a seamless, yet

decoupled warehouse management solution. Oracle WMS can be deployed to power global

operations independent of other enterprise systems—or tightly integrated with EBusiness Suite. It's

your choice. So regardless of your version of E-Business Suite or host system, you can expect

exceptional implementation flexibility, greater availability of mission-critical warehouse systems, and

all the latest features we offer.

It's just part of the next generation WMS from Oracle.

Hundreds of Advanced Features

If you knew Oracle WMS in the past, then it's time to a new look at the many rich features, including:

Advanced Wave Planning—Minimizing material movements, optimizing labor resources, and tightly

integrating warehouse activities with transportation planning;

Demand-Driven Replenishment of High-Volume Items—Minimizing labor movement, improving

labor productivity, and reducing pick-time in outbound flows;

Cross-Docking—Synchronizing warehouse material handling with transportation activities,

eliminating unnecessary inbound material handling steps, and increasing material velocity.

Oracle WMS's pre-integration with core enterprise processes, use of standards-based technologies,

and extensive network of implementation partners are all part of our commitment to bring you the

lowest total cost of ownership.

Just recently, team Cyber Knightz from the Asia Pacific University College of Technology and Innovation (UCTI) emerged as the winners of the Imagine Cup 2011 Malaysia Finals for their Health3 system, and will represent the nation in the Worldwide Finals of the premiere global stu-dent technology competition in New York this July. The students from UCTI had developed a system for cancer patients to monitor their health, treat-ment and diets, as well as to help them and their loved ones to reach out to online resources and to others in a similar situation. The Health3 system was very much in keeping with the theme of this year's competition, 'Solve This', in which participants were required to use technology to help solve real world problems as defined by the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. The team was announced the overall winners at a gala dinner hosted at the Pullman Hotel in Kuching recently. Team Cyber Knightz was among 30 teams that took part in the national finals in Kuching. The annual event, conceptualised and organised by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and Microsoft with the strong backing and support of the Ministry of Higher Education, has become known as the Olympics of student technology competitions. "Since its debut in 2003, the Imagine Cup has grown by leaps and bounds. Every year, we have seen an increase in participation," said Datuk Ahmad Yusoff, UTeM vice-chancellor and chair-man of the Imagine Cup 2011 Organising Committee. "This encouraging response is a testament of the success of the Imagine Cup in reaching out to the hearts of students," he added. The Imagine Cup provides an opportunity for young people to use their creativity, passion and knowledge of technology to help solve global challenges and make a difference in the world. Since the introduction of the Imagine Cup, the number of participants worldwide has been growing steadily. This year, more than 300,000 students are expected to compete in the Worldwide Finals. The global success of the Imagine Cup is reflected in Malaysia. In 2010, about 1,200 students registered for the competition locally, and this increased to 1,671 participants this year. Ygl Group Marketing Manager was appointed as one of the judges in the Imagine Cup 2011 from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) with the cooperation of University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Microsoft Malaysia and Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC).
