The GREAT Trust Ethical Partnership has called for an Ethical World Order to be the focus of
the 21st Century in which the Fundamental Rights of Majority Citizens of the over 7 Billion
Global Citizens are met, not the least the vital Right to Dignified Employment, affordable
Quality Living Standards and Dignified Life Experiences. We condemn a world socio-economic
and cultural construct where the most vital factor of production – human labour - is reduced to
the cheapest and where printable financial capital is the priciest. It is our considered proposition
that a Guaranteed Regime of Sustainable Ethical Full Employment with Decent Living Wages
for All Citizens is a vital ingredient for Peace in the 21st Century, Sustainable Ethical Wealth
Creation that Restores Credibility and Integrity of Societal Leadership across the world. In
Commemoration of May Day Season 2014, we solidarise with All Global Citizens towards a New
Ethical Regime of Guaranteed Fit-for-Purpose Education, Training & Skills, Continuous
Professional Development and Sustainable Ethical Full Employment with Living Wages that
enable Decent Quality of Lives where Poverty becomes History .
The practice where Societal Leadership ruins Wellbeing Aspirations of Majority Citizens
through incompetence only to blame the Electorate has had its day and become untenable. We
consider the resolution of this conundrum one of the cardinal responsibilities of all levels of
leadership for the 21 st Century and beyond. In a world where Graduate Unemployment is on the

rise, in addition to unskilled labour and where probability of Return on Educational
Investments is becoming more uncertain and increasingly marginal vis-a-vis countless
unanswered needs of humanity, it is plausible that the ‘ability, capacity and competence to
Create Sustainable Ethical Careers, beyond Insecure Jobs for Citizens, become a critical
qualifying criteria for political and other leadership roles in every land.
The world is sick and tired of a trajectory of endless broken leadership promises whilst the
Electorates persistently honour their commitment to vote and mandate. We find it a perplexing
conundrum that in a world of endless unmet societal and civilizational needs, that the world’s
vast human resources capital reservoir and all its mammoth untapped energies be allowed to
waste, rot and rendered redundant.
Dr Koku Adomdza, President & Senior Fellow of The GREAT Trust Ethical Partnership, a 21 st
Century Race Equality & Human Rights Ethical Corporate bemoans a ticking time-bomb “The
state of waste that characterises a mismanaged world’s human resource capital pool is
incomprehensible, unacceptable and scandalous. It is unacceptable that we have socio-political
systems that Guarantee Careers for Political Servants of the People and yet they consistently fail
to honour Full Employment for Working Age Citizens. From the World Leaders, Continental
Leaders, to National, Regional and Local Leaders, there is a historic consistent failure to match
Job Security for the Elected and Peoples Representatives and for those who have the power to
mandate governance i.e. the Electorate who are always short-changed and feel deceived. This
obscene status quo is oppressive for Majority Citizens echo have their Fundamental Human
Rights and Dignity compromised by failure of the Exclusive and Incompetent Educational, Skills
and Employment Policy Objectives of Governance.
“On this accord, leaders across every nation excepting The Principality of Monaco where there is
Permanent Full Employment have failed the Electorate. It is scandalous the scenario of wastage
where at one end a critical mass of populations are illiterate, uneducated and unskilled and on
the other extreme you have a mushrooming mass of graduate unemployment within a context of
endless unmet needs. In exacerbation, we have Diminishing Returns on Educational
Investments the cost of which is only getting higher and higher – creating further unequal
opportunities and structural obstacles to the realisation of the Universal Right to Education,
Skills, Training and Relevant Careers.
“Then there are the crises of Modern Education where Graduates who work hard for their
qualifications find out their offerings are completely out of joint with the Requirements of the

Labour Markets. In the light that Supply far outstrips Demand in Saturated Labour Markets
where Technology and Automation are speedily displacing Engaged Labour at a rate faster than
can absorb through redeployment and re-assignment, for the few who are engaged with the
Employment Markets, there is Marginal Job Satisfaction with increasing Insecurity,
Harassment, Bullying, Sexual Exploitation, Intimidation, Victimisation, Discrimination,
Needless Stress that culminate in a raft of Conditions of Ill-Health, again at societal cost in lost
time and income, low productivity and diminished value creation. So you have a diabolical
Vicious Cycle of Unproductive Human Resource Culture and Construct that is costly to all
stakeholders – from the perspective of the individual, families, communities, industry and
government. The resultant Citizenship Insecurities is a ticking time-bomb for instability in the
21st Century where Democracy comes under increasing scrutiny and leaders are found clearly
floundering on manifesto promises and policy objectives.
“Recycling and dress-rehearsal of orthodox by-lines would only complicate and further discredit
the role of Governance, where Citizens become increasingly cynical about the Integrity of
Leadership to deliver on the Fundamentals beyond their own exclusive Income Securities. What
is required is a Competent, Global, Inclusive Human Resource Capital Investment, Mobilisation
and Management Regime characterised by fitting congruence between Education, Skills &
Training and Labour Markets shaped by the Equitable Sustainable Economic Development
Priorities of corresponding Communities. The extremist tendency of condescension towards
Citizens victimised by Leadership Incompetence then coerced into Uncivilised Gulag-type
Forced Labour Camps bears all the hallmarks of antiquated feudal Lording which undermines
the foundations of Democracy, Inclusive Citizenship, Competent Governance, Duty of Care and
The Public Peace.
“A lesson from the GREAT Recession is that Governments can provide Financial Capital through
Central Banks Special Instruments of Quantitative Easing and Bail Outs to shore up failed and
bankrupted Financial Institutions. If failed Financial Institutions are too big to fail, Citizens and
the Electorate who are the source of Mandate in Democracies are too Sacred, Precious and
Indispensable to Abandon, Manipulate, Divided & Ruled and Condescend. There are numerous
unmet Needs in every economy. What is required is an Ethical Democratic Contract with the
Electorate through Competent Political and Economic Leadership driven by the Collective
Wellbeing Interests of Majority Citizens where Skills meet the demands of Labour Markets for
an era of Sustainable Ethical Value Creation. Leadership and those who aspire into Governance
owe it to themselves to wake up to this Call for Competence and Respect of the Dignity and

Fundamental Human and Citizenship Rights of the People for the restoration of their own
integrity i.e. whatever that is left.”
The GREAT Trust Ethical Partnership notes that from political to public leadership, candidates
proactively contest to get into high positions – locally, nationally, regionally, continentally and
internationally but only to rest on their oars once settled in their positions. In the present
circumstances, there is hardly any Citizens appetite for officials to make manifesto, policy
promises to deliver only to renege on their articulated promises with excuses, while securing
income upon the public purse.
This sad pattern of broken promises creates avoidable tensions that culminate in restlessness
amongst the Electorate which in turn lead to demonstrations, strikes actions etc., especially
where Organised Labour Representatives see no light at the end of the tunnel.
Furthermore, the sense and feeling of injustice created by broken promises by public officials
who are employed and paid by Citizens have the unfortunate offshoot to criminality by those
who feel excluded, though unjustified, which exacerbates the potential for chaos.
The GREAT Trust Ethical Partnership reiterates that the most conducive atmosphere for
optimised collective wealth creation is competent leadership, service and respect for Citizens as
the Employers and Paymasters of Public Officials including Politicians who must be seen as
working first and foremost for Majority Citizens. Anything less undermines democracy, the
public peace, stability and security.
On May 2014, we echo the aspirations for peaceful communities, nations, continents and world
through the adoption by all territorial authorities of corporate and operational objectives of
Sustainable Ethical Full Employment i.e. beyond Insecure Jobs, that effectively mobilize and
channel aggregate human capital resource pool within identified economies to attaining the
priority economic advancement priorities, centred around the individual collective Wellbeing of
Majority Citizens.
The GREAT Trust Ethical Partnership strongly advise against the simplistic but controversial
tendencies by forces of ideological extremism of polarising enforced, coerced, feudal plantation-
type labour camp regulations, in preference for an Engaging Innovative and Creative Dialogue
and New Ethical Socio-Economic Contract with Citizens. We advocate for an Era of Ethical
Fresh Beginnings for Peace.
