Based on a true story, Dolphin Tale is the story of Winter, a dolphin who loses her tail in a freak accident and the young boy who nurses her back to health with the help of Dr McCarthy (Morgan Freeman), a prosthetics expert who might just have the answer to Winter’s problem.

While never abandoning his roots in arthouse cinema Christopher Young has also produced what is arguably the most commercially successful UK film ever. It is hard to believe that the man behind the phenomenon that is “The Inbetweeners” still lives on Skye and quite recently brought one of the few Gaelic feature films ever made to the screen. The screening will be followed by an interview with Scotland’s own fusion of Judd Apatow and Saul Zaentz conducted by his fellow Scottish producer Peter Broughan, founder of the Scottish Cultural Memory Project of which this is the inaugural event.
