Well done to the May Ball Committee
on a fabulously well organised event last Saturday night.
The atmosphere was electric and the bands ensured that the attendee’s danced their socks off well into the early
hours of the morning.
Congratulations to Lee, who won our raffle on the night.
Thank you to all our families and staff who donated goods towards our successful night.
We appreciate everyone’s support and efforts.
.
May Ball 2019 Thank you everyone who came, had fun and helped out in some way.
Happy Birthday to the following staff who celebrate their birthdays in the next week.

From the Principal’s Desk Well done to the May Ball Committee on a fabulously ball, last Saturday night. Please see the front page and Wednesdays Portland Observer
Happy Mothers Day on Sunday to all our mums and grandmum. Again in yesterdays Portland Observer we
had a couple of nice tributes.
Also a big thank you to Adam Jones who has to date managed to garner over $100,000 worth of grant
funding for the school. You may be aware of some of his efforts in the
form of the laundry enterprise and the trampoline.
Some of our senior students have been off on camp this week and it sounds like they are having a wonderful time sightseeing and visiting animals at the Werribee Zoo.
Speaking of senior students a huge CONGRATULATIONS to our participants of the P2E program who have been working hard on building up their employment skills, this program will end in a celebratory graduation and luncheon.
This week we also welcomed John Mayherhofer
to the school. John will be working in Phil’s classroom
assisting with the senior program. Welcome to the school John.
We know you’ll love it as much as we do.
Finally I’d like to wish good luck to our remaining senior and middle school
students, as they take part in the Cross Country on Friday (Tomorrow). The Junior School will be
staying back to put on a lovely afternoon tea for their families. I will be staying back to finish off some work and
with any luck sampling some of the tasty afternoon tea offerings.
Reminder: CROSS COUNTRY Friday May 10th will see the majority of our senior and middle school students travel to Warrnambool to take part in the Cross Country. Don’t forget to send along a packed lunch, plenty of snacks and a water bottle. It may also be a good idea to bring along a coat just in case the weather turns a little wet. Enjoy the up coming weekend ………. Rebecca Jones [Acting Principal]
