The "Quilt Sisters" program is designed to pair experienced guild members with new members to help make them feel welcome: answer any questions about guild activities and quilting in general. This program is available to any new member
who chooses to take advantage of the program but it is not a requirement to become a member.
Sharon Morkal will head up this program.
Show us what you do or learn something new!
Bring something for show and tell,
attend workshops, or donate a quilt and be en-

WORKSHOP INFORMATION From Evie Fell
Workshops/open sews will be held on the Saturday after the KPQG monthly meeting. Anyone is welcome to come. You may bring something to work on and you may participate in the monthly pro-ject. There are several changes this year. First and importantly is the change of location. We will be back at Indiana Wes-leyan continuing the established hours of 10am to 3 pm. This move incurred a rent-al fee. Therefore, a small fee of $5 for each attendee will be required and paid on the day of attendance. We will discon-tinue the raffle gifts at each workshop. Great news for those attending. (A little something extra if you choose. You get something for your money and learn a little from a volunteer member.) Each month the committee will strive to have a small learning experience. The May workshop’s theme will be Yard Sales. So many times we buy or are given mystery fabric. We will have a fiber identi-fication area set up. The result are not lab certified. You also have the opportunity to bring yard sale item to sell at your station. If you want to come by and check out what is available, it’s a free stroll.
Donation quilts for the Kokomo Police Department can be any size, since they
deal with children from tots to teens.
Items for the newsletter need to be sent to
Lana Kirtley ([email protected])
by the second Wednesday of the month.
Row by Row begins June 21 at participating quilt stores and the theme is “Taste the Experience.”
April’s meeting had 61 members present, wit h one guest and one new member, Shannon Tribley.
This Month’s Guest— Gloria Stahlhut
Gloria Stahlhut comes from McCords-ville, IN where she is the owner of Quilted Glo. She will be telling us all about all the fabulous items she show at the Kansas City Quilt Market. Market was held May 18 –20 and offers shop owners previews to the latest fabrics, notions, tools, and patterns for the coming seasons..
