TRAIL RIDE REPORT Submitted by Heidi Estep The Mountain Riders ride on April 28 th at the Long’s Ranch was magnificent. We enjoyed a cool morning with beautiful spring flowers. Our group was a mix of experienced riders with steady steeds and a few of us less experienced glad to have such a patient and encouraging group. We crossed sweet smelling meadows, trickling streams, marshy areas and came upon cows with babies. Everyone settled into a nice pace and found the right order so all enjoyed themselves. Conversation was abundant and light hearted, encouraged that the burn scars of the previous summer were already healing. A wonderful way to start our riding season, thanks to Mark & Donnelle Long, Marshall & Robin Long and John & Esther Bell of Long’s Mariposa Ranch for the continued support and hosting such a generous opportunity to ride.
