To put this in perspecve Pennsylvania has one of the highest populaons over 55 in the country. This years slogan is Engage at Every Age, meaning you are never too old (or too young) to take part in acvies that can enrich your physical, mental and emoonal well being. I think this describes Surrey perfectly. We have volunteers and members who are constantly trying new things at all different points in their lives. It is rewarding to hear how much parcipants of More Fun with Opera & Classical Music in Devon en- joy the class. The perseverance is admirable of the people who aend Sip and Swipe in Havertown, learning to use an iPad or those who come to Surrey Technology Days because they are determined to master the use of their tablet or smartphone. I am awed by the people who come to exercise class using their walkers or canes because they want to stay ac- ve and live healthier lives. Ive been inspired by Engage at Every Age to really look at every age. One of my personal goals for next year is to encourage more intergeneraonal pro- grams. We are fortunate to have families and stu- dents who volunteer at Surrey. The rapport that occurs when these groups and our members are together is amazing. Come to a center on a day fea- turing music from local students. They are inspiring. This month, try something new. Whether it is inter- generaonal, healthy living, technology or arts and music. Engage at Every Age

At Surrey, we love to celebrate accomplishments – large and small. This month provides us with a special reason to celebrate. May is Older Americans month! We have a lot to celebrate in Pennsylvania because more than 32% of our population is older than 55. To put this in perspective Pennsylvania has one of the highest populations over 55 in the country.

I think this describes Surrey perfectly. We have volunteers and members who are constantly trying new things at all different points in their lives.

It is rewarding to hear how much participants of More Fun with Opera & Classical Music in Devon en-joy the class.
