Colour Therapy is based on the 7 colours of the rainbow. According to Ayurveda, there are also 7 energy centres in the body. The Saint Giles Remedial Gym has chosen 2 of these 7 colours viz; Yellow & Orange—the colours that strengthen and balance the mind, body & soul. The colour “Yellow” is warm and bright. It’s associated with the solar plexus and combats fear and anxiety. Yellow uplifts the spirit and helps build confidence. It also stimulates con- centration & mental activity, relieves depression and enhances learning abilities. Physically, Yellow is used to treat rheumatism and paralysis. The colour “Orange” regulates circulation and metabolism. Orange is used to treat depression, kidney and lung problems. It’s also beneficial in treating respiratory, spleen, pancreatic and digestive issues. Psychologically, orange is used to promote joy & happiness, increase concentration & energy levels. It enhances emotional health & encourages socialisation. Our Gym has certainly seen an increase in numbers ever since the colour revamp. Pop on by to get your dose of sunshine. As promised in the last edition of Rolling Wheels, here’s a more in-depth understanding of why we’ve gone the route of revamping our

Gym.

Colour Therapy is based on the 7 colours of the rainbow. According to Ayurveda, there are also 7 energy centres in the body. The Saint

Giles Remedial Gym has chosen 2 of these 7 colours viz; Yellow & Orange—the colours that

strengthen and balance the mind, body & soul.

The colour “Yellow” is warm and bright. It’s associated with

the solar plexus and combats fear and anxiety. Yellow uplifts

the spirit and helps build confidence. It also stimulates con-

centration & mental activity, relieves depression and

enhances learning abilities.

Physically, Yellow is used to treat rheumatism and paralysis.

The colour “Orange” regulates circulation and metabolism. Orange is used to treat depression, kidney

and lung problems.

The only Disability in Life

is a Bad Attitude!

SPECIAL EDITION

We’d been thinking about it for a while and now

it is becoming a reality.

If you’ve driven past or been on our premises,

you would have seen & heard all the banging.

Yes, we’ve expanded & are still busy expanding

our premises.

64 years “old”

Growing Strong & Aging Gracefully

The objective of expanding our business premises

was to create the opportunity to obtain more

work so that we can employ 30 more disabled

people. From having 4 packing halls & 2 store-

rooms, we are now proud to boast that we have 6

packing halls & 4 storerooms. We look

forward to welcoming new customers to trust us

with their packing needs and in turn gain recogni-

tion for supporting a NPO which is also BBBEE

compliant and an ISO (FSSC 22000) listed

company.

Besides all the exterior changes, another significant

change to take note of on the inside is our brand new

universally accessible bathrooms that have been installed.

They cater to the needs of all, but more specifically, the

needs of people with disabilities, more than they did in the

past.

Now just don’t read about all these amazing changes, give

either Brenda or Vaneshiri a call on 031 337 4404 and

arrange for a personal tour.
