Birth Congrats! Courtney Congratulations to Pastor & Beulah Courtney on the birth of their newest grandson. “Joel William” was born to Caleb & Stephanie Courtney on Friday, April 24th, weighing a whop- ping 9 pounds 11 ounces. Oliv- ia, Samuel & Marcus were very excited to welcome their new brother! Child Dedication Mitchell-Goffe Pastor Courtney had the privilege of dedicat- ing Taiylah Sarrah to the Lord on Sunday, April 26. Taiylah is the daughter of Tamar & Beswick Michell-Goffe and granddaughter of Lynn Goffe. This was a very special time for the family as approximately 25-30 guests came to witness Taiylah’s dedication. Fol- lowing the service family and friends gath- ered in the Fellowship Hall for a reception and time of celebration. Deepest Sympathy Conant Our love and prayers are ex- tended to Kevin (Jody) Grew on the passing of Kevin’s mom, Sydney Irene (Colledge). Sydney passed away on May 9th at Markham Stouffville Hospital at the age of 91. Crang We regret to announce the passing of Pat Crang, one of our former sen- iors. Pat passed away peace- fully, with family at her side, on Tuesday, May 19, (in Brad- ford) in her 80th year. A cele- bration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date. Special Announcements Spanish interpretation is now available for church ser- vices at Innisfil Community Church. Just ask for a head- set! Innisfil Community Church has just taken sole ownership of the adjacent 3.5 acres of vacant land for overflow parking, program space (summer community carnival plus) and future development. Pastor Mark Quinlan has transitioned into a newly formed position of Execu- tive Pastor, reporting to the Lead Pastor (Pastor Courtney). Pastor Andy Hammond will be joining our staff in a newly created position of “Family Ministries Pastor”. We look for- ward to having Pastor Andy serve with us. We are thankful to God for His faithfulness in enabling us to take these positive steps in moving forward. Special Prayer Emphasis Next month the em- phasis will be on “Prayer.” The ser- mon theme for June is “Prayer Is More Than You Think! As well, everyone is invited to join us on Wednesday nights, from 7-8 pm in the Sanctuary as we gather to pray. It is vital that prayer becomes a main focus of our church and of our life. Prayer is simply talking to God like a friend and should be the easiest thing we do each day. Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church. It is a good Christian weapon. The Day of Pentecost tells of remarkable trans- formations in the lives of Jesus Christ’s disci- ples - a sharp contrast to their lives 50 years earlier. The story is told in the book of Acts and, in 1:8: “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This same power is promised to all believers to the end of time.

May & Mothers

“May” - it’s the time of year when gardens are being tended and flowers planted, flowers blooming, and new life springing up all around. May is also the month when Mother’s Day is recognized throughout the world. All la-

FUEL (Youth) Pastor Mark, along with approximately 50 of our Youth and Youth Leaders, attended the Annual Overflow Convention, held in Water-loo the weekend of May 15-17. We are so grateful for the support of our ICC family each year in helping reduce the costs for these kids to attend. We received a wonder-ful report that there were over 350 salvations that took place during the services. Thank you God!

Boys & Girls Club The final “regular” BG night was held on May 27 - ending with a “Joyful Noise Concert & Awards Day” wrap-up on Saturday, May 31. Thank you Marc & Tiffanie Desroches, and all the Leaders & Volunteers, for your dedi-cated and faithful service and investment into the lives of these kids.

Women’s Ministries Sharon Emmons was the guest speaker for this month’s “Ladies Night Out”, held on Tuesday, May 19th. Sharon’s topic was: The Seasons of Life. The evening concluded with a great time of “share and prayer”. “For eve-rything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”

Men’s Ministries Fred Weening organized a Mighty Men’s Mon-ster Truck Event, held on May 8. Approxi-mately 75 men, sons & daughters gathered at the church lot for pizza prior to heading out to the Molson Park Arena in Barrie. Everyone had a wonderful time! The Men’s Breakfast meetings have been showing momentum, with a great turnout the last Saturday of each month. This month’s speaker was Dale Clair - sharing on The Pow-er of Planning. Prov. 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty”

Primetimers Pastor June & John White organized another annual bus trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, May 26-29, with 51 excited participants! While in Lancaster they visited the Sight & Sound Theatre for the production of “Joseph”, and also took in the Bird-In-Hand musical “Josiah for President.” Of course there is always time for dining and shopping as well! Next month (June 15) the Primetimers will be wrapping up (for the summer) with a variety show like none other!! They sure know how to have fun!!

Breakfast Guest On Saturday, May 9, Pastor Courtney was the invited Guest to share at the Ladies & Men’s Breakfast & Fellowship event at Church of God Worship Centre in Barrie. After the delicious meal there was a time of worship, followed by Pastor Courtney’s message entitled: I Choose To Be” Better”, Not “Bitter.”

Small Group Study “Everything Is Possible With God”. Jennifer

Hay is facilitating this class on Monday evenings. In this six-week video series, Rick Warren shows God’s divine training routine to help strengthen faith and develop character.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) Yes! It’s that time of year when we start

receiving applications for VBS. This year’s theme is “Everest” - conquering challenges with God’s mighty power! Our Vacation Bible School takes

place the week of August 10-14. Stay tuned!

Benovelence Innisfil Food Bank This month the food bank was in receipt of over 600 pounds of food from The Innisfil Beach Cruisers Car Club, along with a monetary donation. The food and funds were collected during

their car show the weekend of May 9-10. As well, Stroud Seniors and The Alcona Animal Hospital donate on a regular monthly basis. The need for assistance will no doubt increase over the summer months and we are very grateful to our community sponsors who part-ner with us to meet these demands. The Clothing Depot The store was fully stocked for the shopping night held on May 28. The drop off chute is constantly filled, and the bags constantly sort-ed. We continue to be amazed at the generosi-ty within our community. Many families benefit from this ministry and we feel privileged to serve and show God’s love in a tangible way.
