Financial Reflec"on

Taking an opportunity to see our financial posi!on is always a good exercise in reflec!on.

How are we doing financially? Where are our Strengths and where are our Weaknesses?

Being content with "Holding our Own" at !mes can be a good posi!on. But I think that we all

should be striving ahead, moving forward, and working harder, to build up our Church. Our

Financial Statements reveal to us today that we are holding our own. We have such a deep

desire to do more, provide more, and build up more, the Kingdom of God in our Churches.

Sacred Heart and St. John's are wonderful places to worship and to exercise our faith

experience. Think about our children and the next genera!ons to come, how will we bring

them a vibrant experience of God and the presence of God in these Sacred places? This will

not take place if we con!nue, as we are, "just holding our own".

As you look over the figures in our financial statement would you please consider, taking to

prayer, our future as a community blessed by God and moving forward with hope to build up

the Kingdom of God in our home Churches. This is where we hear the Word, receive the

Sacraments and celebrate Life. And in the end, commemorate the Souls of our beloved ones to

God in Heaven.

Blessings and Prayer,

Fr. Paul

Knights of Columbus—Rebuilding

The Knights of Columbus Council 1232, have begun again, their

con!nuing project to bring awareness to the Persecu!on of

Chris!ans in the Middle East.

You may remember last year that the Banner in front of the

Church spoke loudly about Chris!an Genocide, the killing of

innocent Chris!ans in the Middle East.

This World wide effort, by the Knights of Columbus to raised

funds and brings about awareness to this horrible situa!on is

something that we should all know about.

Our Council raised more than $5000.00 in this effort. The Knights

built a Shed and sought out Dona!ons and Materials, thanks to

the Building Center and some Generous Church Members This

effort was a Huge success.

This Year the Focus of the Knight of Columbus has shi)ed.

Chris!ans in the Middle East are trying to return to their Homes

and Towns that were destroyed. Our Local Knights will help in

that effort to Rebuild. The Banner, in Front of our Church this

Year, again speaks Loudly.

The Knight again will build a Shed in an effort to raise Awareness

and Funds to Bring Chris!ans Back Home.

Are you able to Help? Stop by our building site and take a look!

Blessings, Fr. Paul
