Heal the Heart Wounded by Abortion For confidential help dealing with the aftermath of abortion, please contact the Project Rachel Ministry of the Archdio-cese of Atlanta, 404-920-7365, [email protected], or visit http://www.archatl.com/ministries/respectlife/healingafterabortion.html.

Annulments The Catholic Church is not blind to the realities of our day. Many Catholics have divorced and remarried, yet now wish to return to a more active sacramental life in the Church. We are here to help. If you have been praying about trying to get an annulment, we have Case Sponsors in our parish who have gone through the process themselves and who can help. Our parish website is a great place to start with your questions. Clicking on Annulments will take you to the appropriate section and once you’ve read that, contact Fr. Byrd so he can put you in touch with some of our compassionate Case Sponsors who will assist you. You can also learn more about the process at http://archatl.com/offices/metropolitan-tribunal/marriage-cases/.

STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE MAY 12TH/13TH

Thank you!

The Sacrament of Confirmation Mass would not have been as beautiful as it was without all the people and organizations that helped make it happen! God bless all of those who were so wonderful in helping us out this past year:

Fr. Byrd, Deacon Sutter, Linda Hermann, Ginger Aaron, Kellie Bertram, Peter and Cathy Zeliff, Jenn Elie, Travis and Talitha Seibel, Enrique and Annette Martinengo, Cherie Ferguson, Che and Bri Marshall, Todd and Beth Smith, Christopher Berger, Tony Nguyen, Bridget Scott and our Choir, Rich Beckman and the Altar Servers, the Altar Guild, the Knights of Columbus, the Women’s Guild, the Men’s Club, the Legion of Mary, our Hispanic community, and all the parents and families who have prayed for and supported the Confirmandi, Catechists, and Youth Director! I hope I have not left anyone out; if I did, please forgive me.

Thank all of you so much!

Sincerely, Anna Moore Youth Coordinator

Woman of the Year Reception Sunday, June 3rd

Noon, Fr. Denis Hall

The Women’s Guild cordially invites everyone in the parish to the

reception honoring this year’s Woman of the Year, Leyda Rojas, on Sunday, June 3rd after the 11:00 a.m. Mass in Fr. Denis Hall. Please join us as we celebrate Leyda and all that

she has done for Our Lady of the Mountains for almost 20 years.

Hope to see you there!

Quo Vadis, Where Are You Going?

In an ancient story, St. Peter flees Rome to avoid the perse-cutions, but on his way out of Rome, he meets Jesus. Peter asks Jesus where He is going and Jesus answers, “Since you are deserting my people, I must go to Rome to be crucified a second time,” which shames Peter into going back to Rome to accept martyrdom.

So, all you high school men, where are you going?

To help you find out, join us for a retreat July 15th-17th at Camp Gideon in Acworth. Sponsored by the Office of Vocations, the retreat is open to rising 10th grade students through graduating seniors to discern God’s calling for your lives. For more information, contact the Office of Vocations at 404-920-7460 or [email protected].

Help us become “Champions for Christ!” Join our “Summer Celebration” Team!

For all adults and teens who want to help us prepare for our Summer Celebration (Vacation Bible School), please join us in Fr. Denis Hall every Friday after the 9:30 a.m. Mass for our Planning and Preparation Meetings. We need all the help we can get in guiding our young ones to become Champions for Christ, and when you help them, you will find that you have become a better Champion for Christ yourself! Come and join us!
