1 PETER 4:1-11 NIV1 PETER 4:1-11 NIVv.1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
v.2 As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
v.3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do--living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
v.4 They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you.
v.5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
v.6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.
v.7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.
v.8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
v.9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
v.10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
v.11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Amen.
The Holy Spirit is preparing the Church for the
coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, we must please God and live a life to
the fullest for Him these last days.
We must allow Him daily to search our hearts for sin, bad attitudes, wrong motives, vain words and thoughts. We must repent and turn from these sins.
The one who can stand in the Holy Place of God is the one who has clean hands and pure hearts.
1 PETER 4:1-2 NIV
v.1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
v.2 As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
1 PETER 4:1-2 NLT v.1 So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude He had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.
v.2 You won't spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.
1 PETER 4:1-2 CEV
v.1 Christ suffered here on earth. Now you must be ready to suffer as he did, because suffering shows that you have stopped sinning.
v.2 It means you have turned from your own desires and want to obey God for the rest of your life.
LUKE 13:32Jesus replied, "Go tell
that fox that I will keep on casting out demons and healing
people today and tomorrow; and the
third day I will accomplish
My purpose.
1 THESSALONIANS 2:4 For we speak as
messengers approved by God to be entrusted with
the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the
motives of our hearts.
The Lord rewards those who humble themselves before Him and seek Him in a deeper way.
Everyday we need fresh passion which is a new level of desperation and desire in seeking God’s face.
Psalm 63:1 NIV O God, you are my
God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is
no water.
Psalm 27:4 NIV One thing I ask of the
LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell
in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon
the beauty of the LORD and to seek him
in his temple.
Matthew 5:6 MSG "You're blessed
when you've worked up a good appetite for God.
He's food and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat.
Come to God withARMS UP AND HEARTS
ABANDONED and with LIBERTY
in worship and prayer. Worship Him freely...
Use your prayerlanguage liberally...
Just allow Him to move...
2Corinthians 3:17 NKJV
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty.
ISAIAH 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
PSALM 62:1-2v.1 I wait quietly
before God, for my victory comes from
Him.
v.2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.
Be sensitive to His presence and allow Him to touch your life and be ministered by Him.
Be ministered by God before
you can minister.
