12th Annual Rosary Rally On Sunday May 21st at 1:30 PM, plan to celebrate the
12th annual Rosary Rally held at Elder High School’s football
stadium (the Pit). The celebration starts with a procession and
Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament as the center of our
devotion. The recitation of the Holy Rosary, together with worship
songs and prayers, make this gathering a memorable event. Local
priests in our Archdiocese will lead us in prayer. It's important to
note that Elder has air-conditioned their gymnasium. In case of
inclement weather, the rally will move to the gym. Please
encourage your children and grandchildren and relatives and
friends to attend. Any 1st Communicants that you may want to
bring to this event should be there at 1:00 in their 1st
Communion outfit. They will be leading the procession of the
Blessed Sacrament.

Grades 5-8
St. Teresa Field Day
Friday, May 19, 2017
My child (5th-8th grade only) has permission to participate in St. Teresa of Avila’s Field Day on Friday, May 19th. I am aware that if it
rains the students will still have Field Day, but it will be located at the school instead of the park. Students will leave St. Teresa at
approximately 8:30 a.m., walk to Carson-Covedale Field, and return to school by 11:30 a.m. for lunch and afternoon games.
EVERYONE MUST have this form returned to participate. This form is your permission slip to participate in Field Day. All permission
slips are due back to your homeroom teacher NO LATER THAN Friday, May 12th.

Dear Parents and Students,
Friday, May 19th is Field Day!! PTG is providing hot dogs,
hamburgers, condiments, and paper products for lunch. We are
asking the students to bring food to share. Simply send the food
item with your child that Friday morning. Your child should drop it off in the cafeteria.
Someone will be there to receive the food and separate food for K-4 and 5-8.
So we do not have too much of the same food, we are asking each grade level to bring
in certain items.
K and 2nd and 6th - bottled water or juice boxes (Please do not send pop)
3rd and 8th - Snacks (avoid anything that has to be refrigerated or cooked/heated -
good ideas are chips, fruit roll ups, granola bars, party mixes)
4th and 5th - Fruit (anything easy to eat - avoid kiwi and mango since they have to be
peeled and sliced - cut watermelon, bananas, strawberries are all great ideas that the
kids love)
1st and 7th - Desserts (avoid anything that needs to be frozen - cupcakes, brownies
and cookies are some great ideas)
Thank you so much for your help. I know it will be a great day for everyone!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Beckman
Attention Parents: Field Day is Friday (May 19th)
Rain or Shine-this means if it rains we will still have Field Day!!! (We will be inside the school building instead of outside and at Carson Covedale.)
Things to know: -We will still grill out. Please still send the food you were requested for your child’s grade level.
Send the food or drinks with your child on Friday. All items should go to the cafeteria upon
arrival at school. (This has been attached to the Bruin Bulletin the past couple weeks.)
-Students should wear field day shirts, gym shorts or sweatpants, and gym shoes. (Please have
your child dress for the temperature if we are lucky enough to be outside. This includes sun
protection: sunscreen, hats, water.)
-Parent volunteers should still report to school to help with games. A volunteer sheet with
locations of games will be posted in the front hallway near the gym. Your assigned game may
change if we have to be in the building-obviously we can not have water events inside!
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions BEFORE Friday morning.
