LCC Student Wellness

SDUHSD and LCC are committed to supporting student personal health, safety, and well-being. If your student needs assistance, our school has trained professional staff members, including school

counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, teachers, and administrators who are available to support students during the school day. For more information please click HERE

LCC has also implemented Peer Assistant Listeners (PALs) for extra student support. PALs are students who have been trained by the counseling staff to support all students. PALs can help students get

acclimated with LCC’s campus, find clubs and activities to participate in, listen to social, academic, and personal issues, as well as brainstorm healthy choices and decisions. For more information please visit

the PALs website

Monthly WellnessTheme October is Healthy Choices Month!

This month, PALs is focusing on making healthy choices. We will be

running events on campus to encourage students to analyze situations to make good decisions, rethink unhealthy coping

mechanisms, and consider their ethical responsibility. Through interviews with our campus SRO on MavNation, Red Ribbon Week, and optional in class activities we are hoping to educate all students on ways to improve their decision making process.

PALs October Catchphrase:

“The greatest wealth is your health.”

PALs October Goals: • Help all students analyze situations to make good choices

• Provide resources to all students on healthy coping mechanisms and resources available on campus • Education students on ethical responsibility

BEHIND THE SCENES during these “independent” years?

Come join our team!! The LCC Foundation is comprised of a fun group of parent volunteers, and together with our Executive Director, Dale, we are dedicated to improving every one of our student’s high school experiences by finding ways to not only enhance LCC’s Athletics, Academics, and Arts cornerstones, but also their social and emotional wellness as they grow into young adulthood. The Foundation oversees the financial operations and fundraising programs for these areas, in addition to hosting special events and projects throughout the school year. To learn more, visit our website or pop into our office at the Admin Bldg. Volunteer registration can also be submitted via our online form. Registering keeps you in the know!
