• The Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP)The DMSCA Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP) is a manufacturing and logistic supplier development and supply chain excellence training system that supports suppliers capability and capacity expansion and assurance of mitigated supply chain performance risk.

• CMP Certification conveys to customers a suppliers relative maturity and competitiveness if strategically sourced supply chain.

1.GOVERNANCESupplier Advisory Committee (SAC)As the voice of the supplier, the SAC provides feedback and program recommendations to the DMSCAStrategic Sourcing Executive Leadership Committee (SSELC) on matters pertinent to the CMP.

Industry Group Clusters (IGCs) IGCs are the closed industry group segmented Communities of Practice centered on supplier engagement in the CMP and positioning for business development. IGCs participants include member corporations, prime supplier members, and supplier members. Guest corporations and suppliers may be invited to IGC events. Note: At national education and training and standalone corporate events, guest suppliers may participate.

2.PRE-CMP OPERATIONAL MATURITY ASSESSMENTPre-CMP Operational Maturity Assessment ToolSubject to development by IGCs, suppliers and guest suppliers have access for purposes of determiningminimum maturity requirements in basic areas of operations unique to each IGC.

3.SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT SUPPLY CHAIN EXCELLENCE TRAININGCMP Education and TrainingSupplier development and supply chain excellence training begins with engagement in the five educationphases: CMP 1.0 (CMP Overview); CMP 2.0 (Organizational and Performance Benchmarking Readiness); CMP3.0 (Performance Benchmarking); CMP 4.0 (Analysis and Deployment); and CMP 5.0 (Development, Expansion,and Continuous Improvement). Integrated in training phases are the six (6) basic steps to development:

Performance BenchmarkingCatalyzed by SCMA/APICS Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model SCORmark™ performancebenchmarking, current state performance data is generated towards development of five supplychain strategies: Unique Supply Chain; and Cross-Enterprise Supply Chain Operational Maturity.DMSCA partners with third party organization to support Environmental Sustainability; TechnologyEnablement, and Talent Acquisition and Workforce Training strategies.

Strategy Development and Performance ImprovementSCORmark™® performance report data verified by PriceWaterHouse (PwC) and Cross-EnterpriseOperational Maturity performance data are leveraged to develop supply chain strategy andperformance improvement objectives.

Standard Metric Development and Performance CertificationData from the two Performance Reports are organized as supplier Standard Metrics that includeUnique Supply Chain Performance Metrics such as reliability: perfect order fulfillment ;responsiveness: order fulfillment cycle time; agility: upside supply chain flexibility; cost: total cost toserve; asset management: cash-to-cash-cycle time and Cross-Enterprise Operational MaturityMetrics in 11 areas such as performance and results; management systems and planning; processquality; manufacturing capability & improvement processes; financial and material control; qualitysystems, logistics, and sustainability and their 53 sub-areas. As described in item 4 (Supply ChainPerformance Certification), suppliers earn Supply Chain Performance Maturity Certification.

Case Studies and Strategic Improvement PlanAssistance provided in development of supply chain case studies and strategic improvement plansorganized by business process areas: Manufacturing Information Systems (MIS); Modeling andSimulation (M&S); Manufacturing Processes and Equipment (MP&E); Enterprise Management andTechnology Integration (EM&TI); and Legal, Regulatory, and Environmental (LR&E).

Performance and Continuous ImprovementSupplier performance and continuous improvement data for monitoring by customers is stored inthe Member Portal as described in item 6 (Member Portal).

Business Development and Innovations CollaborationSupplier business development activities is described in item 7 ( Education, Training, And SupplierBusiness Development)

4.SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATIONSupply Chain Performance Maturity CertificationBased on progressive engagement in the CMP, suppliers earn three levels of certification: Leve 1 (Bronze)-Process Driven (supplier has benchmarked marked and understands current future state performancerequirements; Level 1 (Silver)- supplier analyzes and leverages the right strategic metrics (has a strategy) toconfigures supply chain and close gaps); Level 3 (Gold) - supplier implements best practices and reportscontinuous improvement to DMSCA on a consistent basis.

5.INNOVATION EVALUATION ASSISTANCEInnovation Evaluation AssistanceWhere applicable, assistance will be provided in assessing innovation and supplier member technology by thesix (6) development phases: (1) investigation; (2) feasibility; (3) development; (4) introduction; (5) growth; and(6) maturity. Subject to funding availability, suppliers may be referred to assistance through the DMSCASupplier Development Foundation.

6.MEMBER PORTAL (2nd QT 2019)

Supplier data is cumulatively organized as follows for review by corporate members:

§ Level 1 – Basic Contact and Business Informa on – Includes basic contact info and other data suchas facility number and size, employee count, socio-economic cert ficat ons, and NAISC

§ Level 2- Advance Business Information – includes equipment list and operat onal maturityassessment (OMA) in areas such as performance and results; management systems and planning;process quality; manufacturing capability & improvement processes; financial and material control;quality systems, logist cs, and sustainability.

§ Level 3 – Standard Performance Metrics - includes Standard Metrics detailed in item 3 (StandardMetric Development and Performance Cer ifica ion).

7.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SUPPLIER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Standalone Events Open to supplier members and guest suppliers, Standalone corporate member on-site events support supplier business development through fostering understanding of member’s manufacturing and operational performance and production requirements; facilitating suppliers’ capabilities and capacities presentations, and the CMP briefings.

Associa on for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Membership (New) Through DMSCA’s membership in ASCM, supplier members will be extended a limited membership that will provide access to supply chain management educa al training materials.

Year-round on-line B2B (New) Within IGC events, l educ n and training events, and on a year-round basis via a DMSCAmanaged capability, corporate and supplier members can conduct B2B on-line sessions with the following cap es: pre-event interac ; profile reviews; segme relevant business engagement rules; and endee c acceptances .
