Matthew 5:17-18

• Do not think that I came to abolish [destroy] the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven & earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished [fulfilled].

He fulfilled every penalty

• Gal 3:10 (Deut 27:26) For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, TO PERFORM THEM.” – Gal 3:13 (Deut 21:23) Christ redeemed us from

the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us — for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"

He fulfilled every purpose

• Gal 3:24-28 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
