Matterhorn TigerTip®: Our patented high-abrasion boot tip – a Matterhorn innovation – provides superior protection and extends the life of the boot.

Nytek®: A revolutionary alternative to leather, Nytek offers advantages that leather simply cannot match. Specially formed, high-performance nylon microfibers are nearly indistinguishable from the collagen fibers of leather, yet are three times stronger and also provide better abrasion-resistance.

Flexible Internal Metatarsal Guard™: Combined with a safety toe, the internal metatarsal guard provides additional protection against dangerous on-the-job accidents. Meets all current ASTM requirements for safety toe standards.

Electrical Hazard: Footwear tested by an independent lab that can withstand applications of 18,000 volts at 60hz for one minute without leakage.

Puncture Resistant: Meets all current ASTM requirements for safety toe standards, Class 75.

Steel Toe: Footwear that meets or exceeds the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing rating of I-75/C-75.

Composite Toe: A Non Metallic Safety Toe for environments where steel is not appropriate. Reduced cold-transfer in cooler environments and meets the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing rating of I-75/C-75.

Aluminum Toe: Weighs less than steel and meets the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing rating of I-75/C-75.

Slip Resisting: Soles designed and constructed with materials which provide maximum grip on slippery conditions.

Pillow Cushion 2: Footwear cushioning designed to provide maximum anatomical support and comfort with an internal polyure-thane midsole that cradles a dual density memory foam footbed.

Insulated: Footwear that provides varying levels of protection against the cold depending on the amount of insulating fabric used.

SCUBALINER™: Matterhorn’s Exclusive Proprietary Waterproof Lining System.

DRYZ® Technology“ S m a r t f o a m ” a t w o r k

1. The fabric liner wicks away perspiration from the body and transports it to a layer of co-polymer foam.

2. Upon contact with perspiration, this “Smart Foam” absorbs and stores moisture away from the skin in a gel-like substance.

3. DRYZ® also has special, patented odor-killing agents called ReScent® that destroy odor on contact, as well as additional ingredients that fight the growth of fungi and odor-causing bacteria.

4. The gelled moisture dissipates continuously throughout the day and completely when footwear is removed.

GORE-TEX®: GORE-TEX works from the inside of your footwear. With its millions of tiny pores, the membrane allows body moisture vapor to escape while preventing water penetration. Your feet remain dry and comfortable throughout a wide range of activities.

Vibram®: Outsoles technically designed to enhance perfor-mance in a variety of environments. The perfect base for a boot, these outsoles provide durable, efficient and comfort-able tread designs. Vibram® is recognized as the world leader for high-performance in the most rugged footwear.

Cambrelle®: The most abrasion-resistant fabric lining. It offers excellent moisture-wicking capabilities with its rapid moisture release technology. The result is superior warmth and comfort.

Thinsulate™ Insulation: This thin, light, warm insulation is perfect for footwear because of its durability and compression-resistance. It features microfibers that trap dead air, absorbing water and maintaining warmth, even in damp conditions.

Kevlar®: With extraordinary toughness, these rugged fiber products enhance the tenacity, thermal stability and cut-resistance of any boot. They combine excellent protection with warm, fast drying comfort.

AG7™ Footbed: Supreme quality polyurethane comfort system with enhanced arch support and patented moisture management system built right in!


The D3O metatarsal components are made out of Shock material, which performs well in extreme temperatures, offering great protection. The component disperses and absorbs the impact, reducing force transmitted to the foot. The D3O’s unique flexibility ensures increased comfort which allows for extended periods of more comfortable wear. D3O met guards pass both EN20345:2004 and ASTMF2412-05, when integrated into footwear.
