Integer

• is a number that can be written without a fractional or decimal component

Rational Number

• is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers, with the denominator q not equal to zero.

Scientific Notation

• is the way that scientists easily handle very large numbers or very small numbers.

Perfect Square

• an element of algebraic structure which is equal to the square ( algebra) of another element

irrational number

• is any real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio a/b, where a and b are integers and b is non-zero.

real numbers

• value that represents a quantity along a continuous line

Density Property

• tells us that we can always find another real number that lies between any two real numbers.

Adjacent angles

• they share a vertex and a side

Coefficient

• a multiplicative factor in some term of an expression (or of a series); it is usually a number, but in any case does not involve any

Distance Formula

• can be obtained by creating a triangle and using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of the hypotenuse

Domain

• of definition or simply the domain of a function is the set of "input" or argument values for which the function is defined.

Hypotenuse

• is the longest side of a right-angled triangle, the side opposite the right angle

Legs of a right Triangle

• Either of the sides in a right triangle opposite an acute angle.

Range

• a set of data is the difference between the largest

and smallest values.

Slope

• or gradient of a line describes its steepness, incline, or grade

Scientific Notation

• is the way that scientists easily handle very large numbers or very small numbers.

Prism

• is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light. At least two of the flat surfaces must have an angle between them.

Scatter plot

• suggest various kinds of correlations between variables with a certain confidence interval.

Slope intercept form

• well as how to find equation given slope and one point.
