TAKE AWAYS
• The district has heard our parents and changes have been made.
• Common Core standards in mathematics have been adopted by the state of Ohio.
• Mathematics courses of studies 1-8 being developed to begin transition to Common Core for 2012-2013 school year.
• Middle School Math textbook adoption process started with implementation slated for 2012-2013.
• We are all on the same team!
NOT BROKEN
• Do not have a 40% repeat rate for Algebra I at the high school.
• Students are continuing to do well in multiple measures.
• We constantly see ways to improve our delivery of instruction to meet the needs of students.
• Benchmark with comparable districts: What are they doing?
• Continue to help parents understand mathematics in our schools today. Working to increase parent resources (on-line support, parent nights etc...)
