Transcript of Math 4th Quarter Project
PROJECT AThe bulletin board must:
Follow 1 theme
Be about something we discussed in the second half of the year
Contain at least 3 written out examples
Definitions of important words for the topic
Must "teach" the specific subject
Provide practice questions for students to try on their own
Provide a mini drawing of how to put it up (where things go, etc ...)
Must have at least 6 different colors represented
Must have a list of supplies used
such as construction paper
what writing implements you used
a log of how long you worked on the project (if possible)
PROJECT BThe comic must:
Have at least 10 boxes, or pictures
Be in color, no black-and-white drawings
Contain some mathematical principle that we discussed during the second half of the year
Mathematical principle should be "integrated" into the drawing
Characters should be of your own creation
The pictures should have backgrounds, and not just be the characters
Try and involve humor, irony, sarcasm, or some other literary concept
PROJECT CThe song must:
Be recognizable
Not contain any curse words (original song)
Contain some mathematical principle that we discussed during the second half of the year
Rewrite 2 verses and a chorus
Include a lyrics sheet provided by the individual or individuals
Be performed in front of Mr. Allen or on a cd or usb to be turned in (no emails)
PROJECT 0
The project must:
Turn in a detailed lesson plan as to the activities for the day, with purpose, procedures, and intended outcomes(minimum)
Have a worksheet with between 15-25 problems for the students to do as an assignment
Have accomplished a pre-given homework assignment in order to show mastery of the subject
Be clearly presented to the class, in order for all to gain understanding of the material
Include an answer key so the homework can be corrected in a timely manner (the next class period)
PROJECT EThe biography must:
Be a minimum of 1.5 pages long
Be of Times New Roman size 12 font
Be of double-spaced format
1-inch margins all around
Include the infant life of the person, as well as information about the time he/she was raised, his/her
accomplishments in life, and how he/she directly impacted our classroom
Not cover any of the above information too much, except for what this person did to impact our classroom
Be turned in on a cd or usb (no emails)
PROJECT F
The webquestftreasure hunt must:
Contain a minimum of 20 questions
Be linked to a minimum of 15 different websites
Contain questions based upon 1 chapter of information
Not contain more than 3 vocabulary questions
Not contain any mathematical questions with mathematical answers
Look deeper into a chapter, and get outside information other than what the chapterprovides
Be turned in on a cd or usb (no emails)
Not be in any particular font or size, that is up to you
PROJECTG
The resources must:
Be from any chapter in the book we are using for the specific class
Contain the following:
One worksheet for each lesson (between 15-25 questions per worksheet)
One quiz for every three lessons
Two different versions of chapter tests
One chapter project, with requirements and grading rubric
Separate answer sheets for the worksheets, quizzes, and tests
Be either hand-written or printed from a computer
Contain questions that were created by the person doing the project
Be neatly made and presented in a "professional" manner
PROJECT H
The tests must:
Cover the first half, and second half of the year
Contain a minimum of 50 questions each, giving a good overview of all things covered during first and second
semester
Be either hand-written or printed from a computer
Include a detailed answer sheet with processes of how to solve the problems
Contain questions that were created by the person doing the project
Be neatly made and presented in a "professional" manner
PROJECT I
The powerpoint must:
Cover 3 topics from the second half of the school year
Contain 10 slides per topic, not including the introduction slide, unless valuable information is contained on that
slide
Involve animations and background changes based upon the display aspects
Teach the material being covered, to the best of the ability of the person doing the project
Include vocabulary, explanations, worked out examples, unsolved examples, possible practice quiz, etc ...
Be turned in on a cd or usb (no emails)
