31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

Preach the Gospel

and practice it.

A good leader is not self-seeking, but always has the best interests of his followers at heart. A poor leader thinks only of himself and what he has to gain from his position of authority. Lead-ers have the power to guide their followers to destruction or prosperity. Jesus is the model ser-vant-leader, humbling Himself and serving all.

New RCIA Classes Have Begun The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

(RCIA) has begun. Classes are held every Thursday at 7 PM in the Convent.

Still time to join!

Who Should Participate in the RCIA?

• Persons not baptized and interested in the Catholic Church;

• Persons baptized in a different religion who would like to become Catholic;

• Persons baptized in the Catholic Church but who did not receive First Communion or Confirmation;

• Persons baptized Catholic who would like to know more about their faith.

If you or a friend is interested in receiving the Sacra-ments of Initiation or want to learn more about the Catholic Faith, call Sr. Mary Beth Geraghty, 215-605-5664, Deacon Lindsay, 267-266-2201, or Father Jo-seph, 215-673-8127.

LITTLE CHURCH SCHOOL

This program has begun and continues throughout the school year. Parents drop off their children at 9:15 AM at the Convent. This allows parents to at-tend the 9:30 AM Mass, while their little ones par-ticipate in a “Seeds” and “Promise” program de-signed for their specific age groups: 3 & 4 year olds, and 5 year olds & Kindergarten. This catechetical program is held in the Pre-K classrooms in the Con-vent and includes religious story time, songs and activities based on the Sunday Gospels. After the 9:30 AM Mass, parents promptly pick up their chil-dren.

SHARE YOUR FAITH WITH OTHERS;

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

Adults and high school and college students are greatly needed both as

teachers and aides for this program. This is not a weekly commitment. Volunteers will be scheduled throughout the school year.

LLooking for New and Seasoned Voices
