26th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Lay hold of eternal life by keeping the
Commandments and pursuing noble goods.
The readings today are a challenge for all be-lievers to consider the eternal consequences of our actions. God, in His infinite love, both calls us to Himself and gives us the freedom to accept or reject His invitation. We can allow comfort to make us complacent, or we can pursue noble goods and be persuaded by the One who was raised from the dead.

ANNUAL LIVING ROSARY Monday, October 7, 7 PM
Please gather in the Church Parking Lot. In case of inclement weather, the Rosary
will be prayed in the Lower Chapel.
There’s nothing more powerful than a Public Rosary, today more then ever. America needs Our Lady’s help,
and what better way to celebrate our 150th Anniversary then to pray to Our Blessed Mother, our Parish Patroness.
Following the Rosary, enjoy some light refreshments in the Lower Chapel Meeting Area.
COMMEMORATIVE HISTORY BOOK 150 Years in the Making
An Anniversary Book is being prepared for publication. It will contain the story of our Parish: how it began and grew, and the community and people who made the Parish what it is today. Pictures will tell our story. Parishioners, former parishioners, alumni, friends and businesses are invited to become a patron and include your name or those of loved ones in this hardbound, keepsake book. Forms can be found on the tables at all Church Entrances or in the Rectory. All participants will receive a copy of this one-time only special edition Commemorative History Book. If you have pictures or stories to help tell our history, please drop them off to the Rectory. Identify any pictures and put your name and address clearly on them to be returned. Or E-mail pictures and infor-mation to [email protected]. Memorabilia is also being collected to be displayed during ma-jor events; bring all to the Rectory during Office Hours. Please make sure items are identified with your name and phone number so they may be returned.

LITTLE CHURCH SCHOOL
This program has begun and continues throughout the school year. Parents may drop off their children at 9:15 AM at the Convent. This allows parents to attend the 9:30 AM Sunday Mass, while their little ones partici-pate in a “Seeds” and “Promise” program designed for their specific age groups: 3 & 4 year olds, and 5 year olds & Kindergarten. This catechetical program is held in the Pre-K classrooms in the Convent and includes Religious story time, songs and activities based on the Sunday Gospels. After the 9:30 Mass, parents promptly pick up their children.
Adults and high school and college students are greatly needed as teachers
and aides for this program. This is not a weekly commitment. Volunteers will be scheduled throughout the school year.
