Surrealists often painted their dreams, creating images that didn’t always make sense to the viewer. Magritte would often pair unusual objects together to create his surreal images. Magritte is recognized for his humorous, witty, thought-pro- voking approach to surrealism. White Paper Oil Pastel Watercolor Scissors Choose an animal you’d like to use for your project. Then choose whether you’d like to paint them black like the night sky, or blue like the day time sky. Grab a blank piece of pa- per and some oil pastels to draw out a habitat for your animal. Where does your animal live? Following the outline, use a pair of scissors to cut your animal out. Use an oil pastel to draw the details into your ani- mal outline. If your animal is blue, use a white oil pastel to draw clouds. If your animal is black, use a yellow oil pastel to draw stars. Use the liquid watercolors to paint your sky! Watch as the oil pastel resists the water color. If your animal is black, your sky will be blue. If your animal is blue, your sky will be black. Paste your animal onto the sheet and you’re all done!

el cielo diurno.

hábitat para su animal.¿Dónde vive tu animal?

¡Usa las acuarelas líquidaspara pintar tu cielo! Observe

cómo el pastel al óleoresiste el color del agua. Situ animal es negro, tu cieloserá azul. Si tu animal esazul, tu cielo será negro.

Siguiendo elesquema, use unpar de tijeras paracortar a su animal.
