The objective of the conference is to have an update on the advancements in the fields of construction & building materials, mechanics and structures, by bringing together the global research community, students, faculty and practicing engineers to a single platform to share their knowledge. The organizing committee anticipates a participation of more than 150 delegates from across the world. The first edition of ICMMS 2020 was held in online mode at NIT Calicut, Kerala, India during July 2020, which was a grand success. National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is one of the 31 institutions of national importance under the NIT Act 2007 and is fully funded by the Government of India. The mandate of the Institute is to provide higher technical education and conduct research in the various branches of Engineering, Science, Technology and Management. Originally established in 1961 as a Regional Engineering College (REC), it was transformed into a National Institute of Technology in the year 2002. Institute offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degree programs in Engineering, Science, Technology and Management. With its proactive collaborations with a multitude of research organizations, academic institutions and industries, the institute has set a new style for its functioning under the NIT regime. Set in a picturesque landscape at the foothills of the Western Ghats, NITC is located about 22 km north - east of the Kozhikode City. The campus stretches over a length of about 1.5 km along the Kozhikode-Mukkam road, and is spread over an area of approximately 120 hectares. The Institute is presently offering 11 UG programs with a total intake of 1200 and 30 PG programs including MBA with a total intake of 700. The climate here is generally pleasant in March. The average temperature during this time is STRUCTURES 2022 MATERIALS, MECHANICS AND March 10-12, 2022 expected to be between 25°C to 34°C. The nearest International airports are Kozhikode (Calicut) and Kannur. Cochin International Airport is about 200 km from Kozhikode. The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest Departments in the Institute. It was established at the inception stage of the Institute in 1961. Over the years, the Department has grown manifold in different spheres of activities. At present, the Department offers an undergraduate programme in Civil Engineering leading to the B.Tech degree and five graduate programmes - one each in Structural Engineering, Traffic and Transportation Planning, Offshore Structures, Environmental Geotechnology and Water Resources Engineering leading to the M.Tech degree of the Institute. In addition to the above, there are a number of students pursuing research at the Department in various fields of Civil Engineering leading to PhD. The Department is a recognized QIP centre of the AICTE for both M.Tech and PhD programmes. In addition to the above courses, the Department has been regularly conducting a number of short term training programmes and conferences. ICMMS 2022 invites an abstract within 300 words of original research work with Title, Author's Name, Affiliation, Email and maximum of five keywords under any one of the conference themes. Abstracts should be sent to the conference mail address ( ). The detailed procedure for submitting full-length manuscript will be uploaded in conference website and also intimated to the authors upon the acceptance of the submitted abstract. indexed conference proceedings. Papers will be selected
for publication in the conference series through peer
review process. By submitting papers to this conference,
the author confirms explicitly that the work meets the
highest ethical standards for author and co-authors.
The organisers do not commit themselves to include in
the Proceedings any paper received later than the above-
mentioned deadline and/or any paper that does not fit
the required format. At least one of the authors should
register and pay the appropriate registration fee for their
paper to be included in the final program for
presentation. Papers without registration and
presentation in the conference will not be considered for
the publication.
