Admire the Plaza Mayor, which has important architectural monuments and buildings, like the Archdiocese of Lima Palace, with its elegant balconies, and the Government Palace and its magnificent bronze fountain dating from 1650. Visit Lima's Downtown, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where you will pray at the Cathedral of Lima, located in the Main Square, the most important church in Peru built between 1542 and 1622, and one of the several beautiful examples of colonial architecture, which constitutes an important part of the identity of the city. Continue your tour by visiting the Church of Santo Domingo, built in the late sixteenth century, which has several Viceroy altars and sculptures from different periods. It is most renowned as the final resting place for three important Peruvian saints: San Juan Macías, Santa Rosa de Lima (first Saint of the Americas) and San Martín de Porres (the continent’s first African-American Saint). Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the Museum of Señor de los Milagros boasting historical religious articles used by the Nazarene Mothers Order. Holy Mass* to be celebrated at the Sanctuary of Las Nazarenas. After a break at the hotel, you will be transferred to a local trendy restaurant. (B, L, D)

Day 3) Friday, November 8th: Shrine of Divine Mercy & Missionary Visit to Cañete. After breakfast, depart the Lima region, and head south to the province of Cañete. On your way there, stop at Peru’s Santuario de la Divina Misericordia (Divine Mercy Shrine) to pray the Chaplet. Continue to Cañete where you’ll visit an Orphanage, Parish Church and local school. We will take in this mission of mercy as American pilgrims by

providing locals with a visit of Faith, Hope and Charity. Holy Mass* to be celebrated at the parish in Cañete. This memorable cultural experience is sure to be a highlight of your pilgrimage! Return to Lima for dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 4) Saturday, November 9th: Lima to Cusco. The day starts with an early bus transfer from your hotel to Lima’s Airport for your non-stop flight to Cusco, the historic Capital of the Inca Empire and a treasure of colonial architecture. Upon your arrival in Cusco, board your escorted mini-bus for a panoramic orientation bus ride around the city’s highlights before arriving at the hotel (large buses are not allowed in the historical area). Get acclimated to this city’s extraordinarily high altitude of over 11,000 feet! Today, enjoy a delicious lunch at the popular Inka Grill. This morning we take the famed Vista Dome Train from Ollantaytambo Station to Aguas Calientes. Day 5) Sunday, November 10th: (Continued from previous page) Machu Picchu. After a short transfer by bus you will reach Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that served as a sanctuary and retreat for the Inca Emperor Pachacutec. Machu Picchu, which means "Old Mountain", is considered a World Heritage by the UNESCO and one of the new seven wonders of the world. After your visit, return to Aguas Calientes for overnight accommodations. (B, L, D)

Day 6) Monday, November 11th: Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley. Start the day with morning Mass* at the nearby chapel of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. After Mass, you will have another chance to visit Machu Picchu and enjoy some time at the Citadel or the Intipunku ("Sun Gate"), which is the last stop before entering the Inca sanctuary. You may also try the Inca Bridge, which is part of the Inca Trail and is made of vegetable fiber or straw. In the afternoon, head to the train station of Aguas Calientes to catch our Vista Dome train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Ollantaytambo Park, a typical example of Inca urban planning whose residents still live in accordance with their old traditions. Pachacútec, the Inca Emperor (1438-1471) conquered this town, destroyed it and rebuilt it, absorbing it as part of his empire. It is now considered one of the most remarkable archaeological complexes of the Inca Empire. Return to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. Tonight, you will be transferred to Casa Hacienda Orihuela for dinner, where the Orihuela family, reputed as famous collectors, will be your hosts. The house has a varied collection of popular and colonial art ceramics, paintings, weapons, photography and ceremonial vessels. The environs include a forest of eucalyptus trees and other native species like the famous giant white corn. (B, Boxed Lunch, D)

Day 7) Tuesday, November 12th: Urubamba - Cusco. After morning Mass* at our Posada Hotel’s Chapel, start your tour day at Chinchero Town, one of the most important villages during the Inca Empire. Stop for lunch and afterwards, continue your journey until reaching the archaeological vestiges of Maras and Moray. Maras has one of the most surreal views. It is an impressive salt exploitation complex with huge salt deposits used to trade for other products from other parts of the empire. Moray's archaeological remnants are composed of mysterious concentric circular terraces which, according to some scholars, would be an agricultural research center with different temperatures for each circle depending on its elevation, simulating weather conditions of the different ecological strata of the empire. Then you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy a delicious dinner at Calle del Medio Restaurant, that offers Peruvian signature cuisine. (B, L, D)

Day 8) Wednesday, November 13th: Cusco. Travel to the South Valley of Cusco to visit the Huaro Church where Mass* is to be celebrated. Then, visit the Iglesia de la Virgen Purificada de Canincunca (Church of Purified Virgin of Canincunca) and San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas (St. Peter Apostle of Andahuaylillas). These are part of several “painted churches” that form part of the patrimony of Peru. Boxed lunch included. Upon your arrival back to Cusco, visit the traditional and bohemian San Blas Neighborhood, residence of artists and craftsmen. Discover its streets, shops and art galleries. Then, go to the main square and visit the Cathedral and Convent of Santo Domingo, which was built on top of the most important temple of the Inca Empire: Coricancha. This evening, visit the Pre-Columbian Art Museum (MAP), which houses an important collection of artifacts from different cultures that lived in Peru. From the coast to the highlands, the MAP exhibits works in wood, shell, bone, silver and gold, exhibiting the beauty and ability of the anonymous pre-Columbian craftspeople. Enjoy dinner at the museum's restaurant and afterwards, return to your hotel for overnight. (B, Boxed Lunch, D)

Day 9) Thursday, November 14th: Cusco - Lima. Mass* in Cusco. After Mass, enjoy a relaxed morning in Cusco. Later in the day, transfer to the Cusco Airport for your return to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to the Magic Circuit, where you will be amazed by the largest complex of electronic fountains in the world, certified by Guinness World Record. Experience an amazing show of water, light, music and images, presented in the famous Parque de la Reserva (Reserve Park). Afterwards, enjoy a farewell late lunch/early dinner with your new pilgrim family, remembering all the time spent together. Farewell dinner will be at Café del Museo. After dinner, transfer to the Lima Jorge Chavez Airport for check-in and be processed by security for your overnight international flight. (B, D)

Day 10) Friday, November 15th, 2019: Intercontinental flight from Peru to USA. (M, M) After check-in, cross security to be processed by passport control. Board your USA bound flight. After take off, take one last look at this land which now holds a special place in our hearts and say,

¡Adiós Perú! Arrive in Houston and after US homeland Security precessing, proceed to your respective connecting gate for your final flight home. Welcome Home!
