Addressing Future Workforce Training Needs

The Workforce Training Study identified the medical/health sector as a growth industry for the region. Toward that end USU-Eastern is in the process of developing a major expansion of the Price Campus to include a new medical/health education department

USU Eastern Expansion (Price, UT Campus)− $12,000,000 Research and medical training

facility Nursing CNA Medical Assisting Pharmacy Tech Surgical Tech Radiology Tech Medical Lab Technology

USU Eastern Medical Facility 5 Acre Development Site

− 2 buildings for classrooms and labs, parking, maintenance facilities, offices, etc.

Funding will include− Private and Foundation Donations− State Funding− EDA Grant (up to $2,000,000− Rural Development Grant ($500,000)− Local Government Infrastructure Development

Students & Employees− 30 Additional employees (eventually)

Professors, assistances, administrative staff, ect.− Up to 500 additional students each year

Degrees: technical certificates to Masters in Nursing and Nursing Practitioners

To include eventual expansion of courses at the Blanding Campus
