foreword
When Clifford Burt offered us the use of his gallery, my fi rst thought was “how can we put together an exhibition worthy of the venue?” With your enthusiasm and support, we have exceeded our expectations.
The judges and selectors looked for interesting content, imagination, diversity of subject and technique, good print quality and pictures created with love. You delivered!
With so many pictures to choose from it was very diffi cult to reduce to the limited number we can hang. Many great photographs and many great photographers did not make the cut.
Commiserations to those who didn’t make it and congratulations to those privileged to be amongst our fi rst “masters of print”.
welcome
Welcome to the fi rst “masters of print” Exhibition, with some of the very best amateur photography in the United Kingdom.
I am grateful for all the hard work carried out by judges, selectors and organisers.
The PAGB would like to say a special thank you to Mr Clifford Burt of RK Burt & Company Ltd who offered this exhibition space to showcase these superb prints.
Thank you also to our sponsors and supporters, without whom this exhibition would not have been possible.
Finally, thanks to everyone who entered and congratulations to those whose work has been accepted and to those lucky enough to win a PAGB medal, or one of our wonderful prizes.
Well done!
