If you ever watched the Oscar Winning Movie Gladiator, try recollecting the scene in which Juba tells Maximus “Have you ever seen anything like that before? Until modern times, there was no distinction between Civil Engineering and Architecture, the terms engineer and architect were referred to the same person until the 18th century. In fact, the first Civil Engineering degree in the United States of America was awarded by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the year 1835.
