St. Jude Prayer for Addicted

God of life, You made me in Your perfect image, to live in Your

love and to give You glory, honor and praise. Open my heart to Your healing power. Come, Lord Jesus, calm my soul just as you whispered “Peace” to the stormy sea. St. Jude, most holy Apostle,

in my need I reach out to you. I beg you to intercede for me that I may find strength to overcome my illness. Bless all those who

struggle with addiction. Touch them, heal them, reassure them of the Father’s constant love. Remain at my side, St. Jude, to chase

away all evil temptations, fears, and doubts. May the quiet assurance of your loving presence illuminate the darkness in my heart and bring lasting peace. Amen.

HEARING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

We have recently received a gift of a hearing assistance system for our parishioners and guests who require a little extra “boost” to enjoy the sounds of the Mass.

It is currently installed and we are making some tweaks and performing some tests to ensure a successful roll-out in the next week or so.

The system consists of a small radio receiver (about the size of a deck of cards), which allows the user to plug in earphones, earbuds, or a small over-the-ear speaker. A fourth option for those users with hearing aids with tele-coil(T-coil) technology will also be available.

At present, we have six receivers available. The system is expandable, so we can add receivers as we determine the needs of the parishioners.

Each receiver has two 3.5 mm jacks which allow two users to share one receiver if they desire.

The following options are available for connecting to the receiver: Small over-the-ear speakers. We have five of these available Earbuds are available to those who prefer this method T-coil neck loops which transmit the signal to the users’ T-coil enabled hearing aids. There are three of these available.

We do not have headphones, but users are welcome to bring their own (or their personal earbuds) if they prefer.

An announcement will be made when we are ready to “go live” with the system.

The Parish Office and Church will be closed Monday September 3rd for Labor Day. There will be NO ROSARY.
