As a toddler, Marco Massaccesi played in his father’s ate-lier, a workshop built on Marco’s grandparents’ land near

beautiful Ascoli Piceno in the Marche region of Italy. When Marco was twelve years old, his father began to teach him

how to work with leather.

These lessons did not include modern assembly machines or other contemporary ways of quick manufacturing. Marco

practiced and mastered the art of leatherworking using centuries’ old techniques. The world was a different place

then, Marco recalls. A time when “designers were designers for real, and bags were truly handmade in authentic Italian

workshops.”

Working alongside his father, Marco assisted in creating exquisite handbags designed by many famous Italian de-

signers. Father and son crafted each bag with simple tools, a long process that demands an extraordinary understanding of

the myriad characteristics of fine leather.When his father retired, Marco remained true to the re-spected Massaccesi traditions. Implementing old-school methods, he continued to produce handbags of amazing

quality and beauty for international designers who sought his particular expertise.

Now, after many years of experience at the workbench, Marco has designed his own line of stunning bags, each of which is handmade in the atelier where he once played as a child. His rare ingenuity, unique set of skills, and passion for his art have all come together to give hard-earned and

well-deserved recognition to the name and brand of MASSACCESI.

A ngelThis spacious and easy shoulder bag features a top zipper for closing and opening, 2 flat pockets on the front, and 1 large back pocket that may be opened and closed by means of a magnet. With double straps that are smooth, comfortable and buckled, Angel is embellished with 2 tassels at each of the top sides, which add a very pretty feature. Angel’s edges are all hand-painted, and her mes-senger strap is adjustable.

S t e l l aStella (STAR) is Marco’s first clutch and is carried by means of a pure brass chain which is removable. A pret-ty zipper opens and closes her. She, too, comes with our soft dustbag and is lined with Marco’s new gray lining. You may choose silver or light gold for your hardware. Embossed with gorgeous crocodile stamping, Stella offers durability and generates much interest from all who see her.

New ZIP version has been enriched by 2 long verti-cal zip pockets. Midi Selene closes by means of a strong magnet. Inside the bag – East to West – are two thin leather straps that may be connected by a hook and ring. When the straps are linked, Midi Selene becomes slightly cinched!
