Mass media are the means of communication, that reach large numbers of people in a short time.

Mass media:
play a very important role in our everyday life,
bring the newest information from the whole world. are source of entertainment and relaxation, are source of knowledge and education, are means of promotion (advertisement), influence the way people look at the world.

a) Print media (books, press) - from the late 15th century
b) Recordings (cassettes, CDs, DVDs) from the late 19th century
