HAMPTON ROADS CHAPTER Newsletter October 11th 1 of 11 PRESIDENT’S Message Greetings, Ladies and Gentlemen: It’s been a long, strange journey to this point, but we are so close to becoming a full- fledged chapter! Based on our membership numbers and established policies and procedures we should be able to petition for full independent chapter status in a few months. We still need your help, so please come to the meeting this month and show your support and sign our petition. Please come out and help us become an independent chapter! Contact a chapter officer (Shane, Marc, Lisa) with any questions. We would like to thank last month’s speaker Michael Carfango with Liberty Pumps. He did a fantastic presentation on waste water pumps, control panel and systems. This Thursday’s speaker will be Jay Otto with Otto Sales. He will be presenting Large Volume Grease Interceptors. Otto Sales has been involved in specifying and selling large volume grease interceptors for over twenty years. Jay Otto has experience in the grease interceptor market dating back to the late 1970’s. Many things have changed over the years, codes, sizing methods, and most importantly technology of grease separation. We will look at local HRSD codes as well as separate city codes, sizing – what makes the most sense where. Samples of standard epoxy coated steel units, semi-automatic, and high capacity HDPE units will be available to see and touch.
